Will you use Windows 7 on release?

windows vista has so many bugs still and has dumb settings that prevent you from doing anything so im not risking an upgrade until i find out more about it first

Anyway i think windows 7 is great. I can say that is even more stable then windows xp and (tested with a near average computer) faster despite the graphic effects, no use to compare it with windows vista :P. (also gaming wise i saw that i got in some cases better fps in game then in xp on my computer and generaly better fps in games when i tested on one of my friends high end computer)
Yes it takes more resources then xp but this is a 2009 os.
From what i could see by now this windows is ready except some polishing job to do.
Anyway, despite money(srsly we can bypass activation:P), very old computer or not using windows i don't see why u wouldn't upgrade your pc to windows 7.

I bet you'd get all those same improvements in Vista.

I have windows vista currently, I have no problems with it beside it requiring more ram to run. I will be upgrading to Windows 7 just because it runs games faster. Also, people say they get errors for vista, but they never say what they get and what they were doing. As for the annoying security on Vista, using a magical spell called Google should help you easily turn it off...

I learnt from past experiences that it's best to wait for the first service pack before installing the latest M$ os. So I won't be using it by day 1.

As i dont play many computer games anymore il be sticking with Linux though i have a Win7 evaluation copy duel booted and it is definatly a step in the right direction after Vista

Using the Windows 7 RC and so far it's great.

On my laptop, here's the stats in Dalaran when there's LOTS of people:

- Windows XP SP3 with Latest updates: 30-35 fps
- Windows Vista SP1 with latest updates: 35-45 fps
- Windows 7 RC with latest updates: 40-50fps

It's not a GREAT difference, but between 30fps and 50fps there's a huge change in the human eye, I can see it goes double smooth as in windows XP
