    Computer Problems

Okay so let me explain this problem. Apparently it has been happening for a very long time for Windows XP. It is a login / logoff loop, that is likely to be caused by a virus or spyware. I've been posting on my guild forum of the events that have been happening. So I will copy and paste a few main things.
    _________________________________________________________________
Well it no longer give me the error and starts an automatic shut down. Here is exactly what happens, as detailed as I can explain it.

I boot up my computer, puts me to the login screen. It's a black screen with a box in the middle for logging in on. There is no password for my computer. When I hit OK it will start up fine. Plays the little login jingle, and then the logout jingle. Oh noes. Back at the login screen with no options. I have tried getting to safe mode, does not give me the option to. Have not tried booting from CD as I do not know what this is nor how to do it. I may be missing safe mode because I'm a total idiot, so I am going to ask which key to press to enter safe mode, because as I recall it was an F key during startup.
    _________________________________________________________________
Okay so the occasional error that I get when I turn my PC on at login screen is the following, it initiates an automatic shutdown.

    svchost.exe - Application Error

The instruction at 0x7c92562" referenced memory at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read"

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

This will always initiate the shutdown process, however this does not always show up, and it only initiates shutdown when this appears, this does not come up when I get logged out. Clicking CANCEL does not do anything I think, haven't had the chance to use it as it does not appear every time. Testing at the moment to see if I can get it again and see what pressing CANCEL does, if anything at all.

*Edit* Now I will see a text box saying:

    FAIL

    InstallLocation
    _________________________________________________________________
Fuuuuucck apparently I need files in System32 that are not there. Quick Launch settings are not saved; Search Assistant Toolbar in Taskbar the COPY USERINIT.EXE WSAUPDATER.EXE part does not work, it says the system cannot find the file specified.

ok, to get into safe mode, hold F8 on the startup screen, this will trigger the advnaced options where you can click safe mode

to boot from the OS disk, when your on the boot screen press F8 (not hold)
you will then be promted to boot widnows from harddrive/harddisk or the CD/DVD in your drive. then do a full system resotre (dont forget to click the format option)

the format options and things are on Vista, personally ive never restored XP i never had to, but im presuming its all the same.

    Play Button Smash with F8.

0x00000002, your BSOD means theres a driver issues.

Theres a few ways to fix this:

    A) Go to into Safe Mode (Hit F8 while POSTing)

    1. If sucesfully entered Safe Mode go to: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
    2. Pick a restore day where you know it was working fine.

    B) IF I was mistaken system restore doesn't work in Safe mode...s

    1. Find your XP CD.
    2. How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install

    C) If all else fails...

    1. Find your SYSTEM RESTORE CD. Normally, if you have a consumer based PC. IE Dell, HP, Sony...
    2. Pop it in, make sure its BOOTED TO CD DRIVE

    D) If...EVERYTHING else fails...

    1. Get your XP CD
    2. Do a clean install.

    Hope it helped.
