I've finally gotten around to setting up an IRC channel for everyone to use.

Before I go any further, site rules apply in the IRC channel. (No flaming, spamming, etc.) Eventually (maybe) the staff will set some IRC specific rules.

If you have an IRC client already, feel free to skip to the end of the post for the server and channel info. Otherwise, keep reading for some links to common IRC clients.

• mIRC - The most popular IRC client around. You may download it here. There is also a (very recommended) addon called NNScript. Available here.
• BitchX - coming soon...
• Trillian - IRC/AIM/MSN/YIM/other client. Great if you want everything in one. Cerulean Studios: Creators of Trillian and Trillian Pro Instant Messengers
• XChat - XChat: Multiplatform Chat Program

(Those are windows only, linux/mac clients you will have to search for yourself!)

Read the instructions for your IRC client on how to connect. (If you use mIRC, just click the link provided below. [Note: BitchX, XChat, Trillian may also support the link, but I cannot guarantee!])

IRC channel: #mmowned

IRC browser based link: irc://irc.quakenet.org/mmowned (Click this if you already installed an IRC client that supports the irc:// protocol)


Within the next day or two, I'll have a channel bot to enforce the rules while the staff are 'away'. So don't think you'll be able to get away with things!

Enjoy the channel, and have fun! Just don't abuse it, or you will be banned!

You'll have to check with whatever your IRC client is. (It's different depending on the client)
