    [NEW] Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Alpha

    Hi everyone!
Hope everyone is doing ok today!

While seeing few Screenshots made by people and other complaints how slow things are going, well I thought to find a "cure" so to speak.
    Also wanted to Contribute.

    Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Alpha
    "Pa-ra-pa-pa-pa, I'm lovin' it!"
Warning: This is Beta-Version. Some people have said that this is not for everyone. Keep that in mind!

    Info:

According to thousands of reviews and comparison, it is now clear that only Firefox is able to give you the best security while surfing. This is the brand new Alpha version 4.0

Open-source web browser for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and is based on the Mozilla codebase. It is small, fast and easy to use, and offers many advantages over Internet Explorer, such as the ability to block pop-up windows.

After Internet Explorer 8 it’s now time for Firefox 4 Alpha codenamed Minesfield. Many new changes has been made in this new version of Firefox. It’s pretty smooth and fast and also the user interface has been changed considerably.

Here are some of the notable changes in this version-

    * Changes to the graphics layer
    * New data storage layer for bookmarks and history (using SQLite)
    * Extended search plugin format
    * Updates to the extension system to provide enhanced security and to allow for easier localization of extensions
    * Support for SVG text using svg:textPath
    Download:

    Code:
    Index of /pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk

I hope this helped to who ever needed it.
Best of luck to all and Have happy Holidays!

    This worth a try.
It increased my browsing speed by 75%
I mean It got no viruses, it wont hurt you computer and if you really don't like it just delete it.
But if some people are just tired of that long loading and horrible browsing speed just Try this.

Never give up hope on computer intelligence

Actually I have not yet seen "flaws"
If it's BETA it does not mean it's not working properly.

3.0.3 how ever did give a me a lot of problems.

You have 1 rep, he has 44 (currently) He has contributed so much more than you, so if I were you, i would just run along and leech off the shared forum cause that's all you probably do, considering you have been here since february 2007 and haven't done anything worth getting rep for.

    nice post btw! +Rep

Just because you don't see any flaws, doesn't mean some little hacker kiddy won't.

It told me I was installing minesweeper. Then when it finished it said minesweeper was already running...

Sorry it was minefield. Minefield is the name of the alpha.

Thanks for the update, I remember switching from IE to Firefox back in '02(??) or so. It was crazy the difference in security and performance was. The main reason why these kind of browsers are more "secure" though is b/c they're less used by people who actually put in CC info Bank info etc. Mozzilla was more of an underground company that released a browser that was very powerful for the mutli tasking surfer.

So it's obvious that "hackers" wouldn't target a browser that is used by such a low population. As Firefox becomes more widely used I would expect for there to be some attention on it and we'll see what happen w/ IE happen to Firefox. It is definitely a better browser all in all, just saying you should know all the reasons for it's "better" security.

Hmmm, what would you say in security, speed, and overall design in a battle of Google Chrome and Firefox 4.0 Alpha? I'm currently using Google Chrome and I love it compared to 3.3. So I would like to know about this... Alpha :P
