To be honest, I thought the series went downhill after it went from being simply gaming satire to gaming satire with a complex and completely redundant storyline.
It had potential, but I doubt it'll ever return.

a complex and completely redundant storyline? Are you kidding me. With all the different characters personalities its the strongest Pure Pwnage has ever been not to mention the Gamers Army where we get to join in Pure Pwnage's storyline.

Protip: generally, giving carachters specific personalities is an important part of fiction.
Purepwnage did something important. They made an internet presence, and thusly every gamer knows what it is. While this is quite an accomplishment, its immense popularity has attracted a large fanbase, and since so many people find themselves as a part of the stereotypes that the carachters portray, they can't really add any originality to the storyline, even with the introduction of the Gamer Army.
While originality may not be the issue, as no production exists like it, the storyline still doesn't really isn't compelling and/or entertaining.
The coreographed fight scenes with the subtle referances to video game history? Cool, for about five minutes. This, and the introduction of the real life micro powers were a welcome edition, but I can't really see them as being more than a tactic for cheap laughs, in place of a solid storyline.
As previously stated, this is only my opinion, but as someone with practise appreciating indie playbuilding/drama, I stand firm in my position.
Well seeming as Pure Pwnage is designed on the premise of that the fans have true power over the show such as ratings/n00bstore etc. I would think that whatever they have lined up in the second series is for our benefit of entertainment rather than just a way to test out different types of footage like the first three episodes.
I'd also like to point out that although there has been some disagreements on the last episode on the Pure Pwnage forum the majority love the episode and consider it a welcome addition.
Each to their own, 'ey.
