Just wanna get a prospective on where im at compared to the rest of the world with this speed test.... there was a thread like this a while back with a different site that I find to be a bit innacurate and harder to get a reading off of... so heres how this works...


GO TO OpenDNS

Run 3-4 speed tests and post a screenshot of the best one you get (first one tends to be a bit slower so do at least 2)

POST YOUR SCREENSHOTS IN THIS THREAD AND WELL SEE WHOS FASTEST!!

also include your area, and ISP for comparison!!

I live in spokane.. but I dont see how it would matter-- they are both large Citys with the same ISP...

This test is completely inaccurate. I've gotten speeds of 22 mb/s with other tests, and only 1 mb/s per second with this test. I have Comcast's fastest possible internet.

yeah it was off by about 5mbps on mine also

Its inaccurate because it doesn't allow you to choose a location. Could also be comcast's speed boost stuff(perhaps this sites method doesn't"proc" it and others do?)

Use Speedtest.net
Its easier to post your time too because it gives you a direct forum image link afterwards.
Mine (on SPeedtest.net) was 2957kb/s up and 314kb/s down.

My speed test results are,
upload speed:0.52 kbps
download speed:1.96 kbps
I check my speed test before and after of the downloading process!!!!!!
