So I got hacked

with a keylogger and lost my ~900g + some items so now my hunter is basically useless ( WoW ). So, I need a free program to scan my PC and get rid of this stupid keylogger. I got Ad-Aware, but what else should I get? Thanks

Download the Mcafee trial, it's only 30 days or so but it should get you back on the road.. I'd also recommend AVG, as far as free stuff goes.

And the processguard trial shouldn't hurt either, the trial can do pretty much everything the full version can.. there is a crack of PG around here somewhere. :theyareontome:

I already downloaded Ad-Aware and used it, so do you think if I downloaded all 3 of AVG's programs and ran the scans I would be ok?

I've never had ONE good expirience with mcafee finding jack on my computer >.<

IMO their's betters, look around a big on this site, suggested programs have been suggested a few times around here

Stay away, for the most part, from the larger vendors. The market of antivirus is dominated by you know who. I highly suggest NOD32. If it's a Trojan, it'll catch it. Keyloggers amount to trojans so it'll do you well.

However, if you don't go with NOD32 or you just want to be extra careful, go ahead and fire up a software firewall. A keylogger has to communicate with something to transfer data, so once it tries to make an outbound connection you'll catch it.
