Personally I dislike Ubuntu and anything GNOME based generally. :P
Currently I'm running Slackware, BackTrack 3 LiveCD, but I have it installed on my HD, planning to fix the bootloader when I'm not lazy.
I'm too biased for this thread, I love anything KDE based (yeah KDE fanatic).
As for my reasons:
While I'm typing this post I'm on Windows XP. I don't mind it, but I don't like it either.
I'm just too lazy to fix my stuff and boot into Linux etc.
I am not a gamer by nature and all I do all day is reading, chatting, music, programming (sometimes, still gotta advance, as soon as school ends) etc. Nothing which can't be done under Linux.
As user-unfriendly as it may be, I like the challenge and command lines, even though Slackware is more of an advanced distribution and I'm not THAT good.
But...I'm not complaining.
