I think you should make more then 2 pictures before you start posting them around .. Read tutorials etc. because what you did ^ there is not special, just drawing some lines with the pencil-function

When making the border, hit ctl-A and then go to edit>stroke
Change the width and color if you want.
Other than that I would say around a 7/10
