[Rate&CC] New Design

Hello Everyone,

Some of you might of seen my previous thread with the simple grey design here's the outcome of that Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Anyways, I've been working on a different yet similar design.

Here's the final outcome of that. This is version 4

Well what do you think? How can I improve? Any suggestions?

Hmm, Changing to be a brighter red doesn't look the same to my personaly. With the color it is it seems to go with the other red sides. But that's just me.

The looks of it is a bit off for my taste, colors and stuff. And a bit to straight forward borders, buttons. But its not too bad ;p

Box off the different news bulletins, outline the username/password boxes in white, change the buttons on the left side (home, forum, etc., the white/gray gradient is weird to me) and get rid of the gradients on the red text, it makes it look weird in some spots and harder to read as well. Also bring the text in the top 2 boxes on the right down a little bit cause it is basically touching the border, center it more. Move the word "Login" down a bit also so it is fully on the dark gray area, and make the outline on the "go" box brighter.

Just some suggestions from what I can see.

you are heavily saturated with red, i'd suggest a bluish main content font color

I thought it went with the rest of it.

text is a little unreadable at glance. maybe make it brighter or change the color, left menu sticks out on the top part, should be aligned with the bottom, the bullets also don't align right with the corresponding text. keep it up

with all of the red, the white gets lost, you already have unexplained blue in the image, thereby extend it to the font as well. blue on a red bg catches the eye.

if you want the side menu's to be like "oh look at me!!" move them out a bit so they aren't in a straight line with the rest of the page. 20-50pixels should be fine.

Its a changed in version 3 also the bullets were remove.

Hmmm so blue for the lorem junk and menu words? or just for the lorem? I'm gonna try changing the font to the blue on some things and post it back.

Here's the out come Should I change it back? or should I make every red text to blue now? Suggestions?
