Pro-tip you might have never known: Use as much non-destructive methods as possible. That means layer masks instead of erasing, applied images on top instead of working on the base layer, adjustment-layers instead of layer-only adjustments, invisible layers instead of deleting them entirely if you're unsure if you can use them later on, etc etc. If you would've applied image with only the topaz you could've fixed it much more easily by just deleting the layer.
