With patience, it can be made in photoshop using the pen tool.

Horrible, horrible method.. almost impossible to get the perspective right and pen tooling is generally slow to work with. Just get Cinema 4D/Illustrator, seriously. In Cinema 4D all you need is basically a text layer, extrude bevel, some light sources and one or more material. Not to mention it's also re-sizable and a LOT quicker than Photoshop. More possibilities for nice results as well as there are a ton of options to use.

So get c4d, I find it a lot better than Illustrator for text.
