Tutorial: Blizzard avatar.

You want an avatar like mine? Its actually preety simple.

1. go to wow forum and in any page click "print screen" on keyboard. If you use mac I dont know how to do it but there are many programs that are able to do this and allot more stuff.


2. Crop the image so that only the avatar is shown.



3. Now carefully erase the background image. This takes a bit of skill to make the round part smooth. I suggest you use a blurred brush.


4. Look for a picture of your choice. I used a picture of a female tauren.



5. Place the picture behind the border layer and resize.


6. add the blizzard text. Or you can put your own.


7. Add some effects to the image... this is up to you and your skill level.




This is very simple to do. If you cant do this well... I suggest you quit photoshop.

I find using the eliptical marquee tool works wonders for taking out things like that.

I use that too. But everyone has their own style I guess. Whiever way makes it easyer for you.

just pointing that out i mean YOU did add picking out an image and using Blizz Text but still =/ i rather usuing that to get the avatar u shoulda just gave the image cuz some people arent really good at erasing =P

thanks for that. I couldnt have possibly know it was done.
But heres something nice.



just save and open in photoshop, it will not contain a background.

PS: dont mind the white dots. Its smooth in photoshop.
