He probly only grabbed one quest item, and therefore it didn't work and assumes it was fixed.

You get them when you turn in the quest.

Just did it and it worked.

So as of 1/8/2012 it still works.

Wait until you turn in the quest and you get the points and it shows how much you gained. I did it for just 5 minutes and got 2000 points. I figured I didn't want to go to overboard

Nice find, but seeing as people got banned for the warzone level exploit in the release this will bring down hell.

I did this other day as well.
I don't really see this causing too much trouble as there isnt any gameplay impact.
Yes you can equip dark5\light5 items but the lvl req on them is still off.
Biggest part of this is affection on companion and riding another 2 lvls of exp from the conversations with them.
