Ok to D1sc1pl1n3's point, a logo could also work and if you feel it has a chance of winning then by all means have a go.
Crazymonk when the competition is over the winner will be announced HERE and the winner will have to reply HERE that he got his prize, so whether or not you think there being taken for 'a ride' thats your opinion so keep it to yourself not on my topic.

Could you perhaps respond to the current submissions so we know if we need to make something new, or just update the ones we made? also so we know if you like / dont like it

Right well i can't give out too much info on which ones look better and which look worse etc otherwise its barely a competition but ill say what i can.
I really really like Anakonda's Banner its pretty darn cool it doesn't look like 100 pictures bundled on top of eachother but at the same time not to simplistic.
D1sc1pl1n3 's one was also really nice i liked it alot the text was clear and the background was nice. I can't say they are competition winners at this time but i like things along the lines of them. The Logo idea is also a good one and im intrigued to see how that fares so ill accept Logo's also.

More likely due to the blend with the background, the text is readable on it's own but with a light backdrop it's insanely tough.
