Don't know what's wrong but I can't get the InGame map to work properly. It shows some weird icons at the lower right corner.

It works perfect without Choosing InGame, but obviously I'd like the InGame feature to work.

I'm all up to date, trust me

I'm in the process of making a guide for every Rift program with detailed installation information, usage, setting up and everything you'd want to know ( or not know ) about them, including how the devs respond to the community ( Big props to wesk. for the timely manner that he responds to requests. )

In short though, you want to extract thing to any folder you want ( I have mine somewhere easily accessible IE: Desktop )
You open up the config.cfg and make sure it states your game language right ( EN for english, ect. )
You also need to make sure it's showing the right rift folder. So you go to your rift folder, and you replace the line that has the *******/rift/log.exe to your location, if you're not sure, go to your rift installation folder, right click on any EXE, go to properties and you should see a line with "Location" in the General tab. "C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game" Copy that, and add \log.txt at the end of it. "C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\log.txt" This location varies from user to user.
From there, close everything up, save the config.cfg and open up rift, type in "/log" in chat and it should say "non-combat logging enabled." If you've set the location and language right, nodes should pop up if you've donated for the pro, if you haven't any nodes you gather, will be saved on there. Whenever you upgrade to a new version, just overwrite everything BUT the config.cfg.

I tried to keep it short, but I'm on a lot of coffee and it was hard to, so there you go, step by step!
    What's a Parog?

I was wondering if, when using the free version of gatherer, the map will autocenter. Or if I can somehow scroll it. I keep having the problem that new nodes get added to the map, when they are found, however I can not see it, since the map is not centered on my current character location.

How do I change what location I am viewing on the map? Is there a option so that the map is scrollable like the actual in game Rift World Map?

The Path is no longer required as i get the exec path from rift.exe the choices in the config are EU / US / DE,
If you have a Config.cfg that is X Y PATH Local then delete it and riftgatherer will make a new one,
To gather ingame you need to do /log ingame and then it should work (Run as admin so the program has the rights to write to the config.cfg file )

It never has been for me. It is always frozen in one place.

Hey man, what are you trrying to upload from my computer ?
I use the free version, and the log.txt in the gatherer dir shows that it tries to upload stuff (but that your dir is full.)

    This looks very suspicious !!

It's just your nodes.xml for the online database

Nop It doesn't move at all. WHen I start it, it is jsut a rectangle that has a set size. You can't make it larger or smaller, with picture of part of the map.
If I use hotkeys F1/F2/1 on numpad/2 on numpad etc. It works, however I am not able to click and drag at all, with right or left click. (I tried both just encase)

I did a fresh install of it, and it seems to have fixed the problem temporarily. It still won't let me move map at times, so I have to hit numpad 1 2 or 3 and then move in order to get it to work.. Its a bit strange. I also noticed that every time I open it up, the size of it is different.. It drives me nuts that I can't just change the size of it myself.

This must be something to do with rights something like he isn't allowed to read the config file because then it defaults to a size. Try running is as Admin if you arn't already if you are then check so you are the owner of the folder
