Have been experiencing a failed to Launch window for the last few days. Nothing changed on my PC as far as I can tell. Still running windows 10. See the linked image. Tried to redownload and overwrite the directory. Nothing changed. Any thoughts on what I can do? Probably something simple, but I am no programmer.

Are you using steam? Have you tried not overwriting your existing files and just running it from a clean folder?

My account was hacked and all my valuables stolen, thank god this league I ended otherwise it would be a shame, this program was detected a Trojan (Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml), other programs in this league I have not used, so be careful.

It's a false positive, in this case triggered by Windows Defender. If you are capable of reviewing the code, it's all there for public access. You can download, configure, compile, and run it yourself if you feel like the automated executable might be trying to do something malicious. You getting hacked has nothing to do with this project.

Hi, I've been playing POE for years and everything was fine, I don't want to blame anyone, especially using banned programs you need to keep in mind that one way or another you can be responsible for it. Honestly, besides Poehelper I ran PoEapikit 1.6.1 and GameHelper light, but I did not use them. My POE password was quite complex, it's hard to believe it was picked up, so I think I got it with keylogger. I have no other options, I live alone, my computer is new and this league is the first on it, I'm quite careful about digital security and my only sin is adding to the exclusion folders with these programs.

I know it’s heartbreaking to lose the account. I am really sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, you have to find/pinpoint that key logger or something of that nature, otherwise you are not helping anyone over here. I wish you best of luck in finding that. Just making a post on what happened is kind of useless.

Here are the things I would recommend you to do.

1: contact GGG and tell them your account got hacked and see if they can help you get your account back. It won’t have the items but atleast the stash tabs/MTX etc will be there.


2: I hope you don’t do any banking on that same computer. Change all of your passwords and stuff. If they can hack one thing, they can hack something else as well.


3: in the future, be extra careful, never ever download a exe from online website, always compile it yourself from the source code. I have been on this website for many years and I have never ever downloaded and executed a binary from the internet. I think I did it once ( to test something ) but then the very next day I formatted my whole windows and installed a new one. Also, I have a separate computer for day to day life, work and POE/hacking shit.

I would definitely recommend they change their email password, as logging into PoE from a "new location" (different IP) requires entering a verification code. Also change any passwords shared with either that email or Twitch (recently hacked but they claim passwords weren't leaked).
