Run PoE as a limited user

Does the method require PoE to be OUTSIDE of C drive? Or just opening as another PC User?

By "internet" do you mean through a web browser? If so, something like ExileAPI won't work for you anyways. GGG may not be able to run anything with their anticheat in that sort of play space... so there would be no reason to mess with limited user.

That said, maybe the Kakao version has their own anticheaat somehow? Like if they force you to use their launcher or something. Then you could try launching it as limited user, but there is no guarantee they aren't using something low level.

Korean server uses this and it cannot be launched alone. Korean client don't have email/password input box.
After log-in in web brower, then click the game play button in browser(in korean poe site, big green "Play Free Now!" button is replaced with Game play button.). log-in token is delivered to kor client I think.
But other things of game components are completely same with eng client. use same files, same server(I mean, global server.).
Eng client is included in kor client folder. So ExileAPI works!

So let's go back to the first question, How can korean players hide hud folder from poe's anticheat? help me please.

When running POE in Limited I am getting some major FPS Spikes where the program stops and stutters every few seconds. When I switch back to opening the game in my normal account, the issues are gone. Any ideas?

It is working for me but it does not prompt me for a password. Checking the details of the application running in task manager is indeed running the game as my limited user, but I do not need to type in a password when running it this way. Is that normal?

When shift clicking and "running as another user" it requires a password.

for some reason I cant type anything when the cmd prompt opens to put in my password. When I set it to a username account with no password the cmd thing opens and closes immediately, might have to do with the fact that I had Python installed on this pc but not sure

Should be able to. If it doesn't work, try running those programs as a limited user too.

Is this method still working? I seem to not be able to run PoE as a different user. Ive tried using runas and just shift-right click the exe. Game closes itself. Im on Windows 11.

Works for me with the standalone. Currently waiting in queue running under a limited user.

For some reason my shortcut isnt working im double checking everything every line of code and the shortcut one isnt working and then the script .bat version isnt working anymore for me too it was literally working 2 days ago so idk why its not working now at first i had an issue with "SETLOCAL is not recognized as an internal or external command and then had to use visual studio or notepad to get rid of it but now im having the problem where its just not working at all or launching anything

Working great for everyone else. You aren't running HUD as the limited user or anything are you?
