Creating a simple Plugin Helprequest
Hello guys!
I've been using PoEHud and its Plugins for a long time now and always adored the work and effort that was put into it so that our community can have some nice QoL perks in the game we all love.
I've been playing with the idea to make some own plugins and am now at the point where i want to give it a try and write my own but i quickly realized that i need help in doing so.
I do have programming experience from University in C and Java but as we were told to not use an IDE i have only used Notepad++ so far and thus was pretty overwhelmed by Visual Studios Functionality.
As my first project i want to do a very simple plugin: CurrencyClicker
It will click currencies in your currencyTab X amount of times so that it fits e.g. your currency trading ratio.
So for example you have setup a currency exchange request to buy 100 alch for 30 chaos.
You put that ratio into the setting of the plugin and assign a hotkey.
If you press that hotkey while your stashtab is opened, it will ctrl+click the chaos icon 3 times->putting 3 stacks a10 chaos into your inventory.
This seems at first like a pointless plugin but keep in mind this would be just the very first barebone functionality. ("Ever tried trading 2687 wisdom scrolls for 30c? remembering the exact number of stacks can get tedious and timeconsuming )
My Progress:
I followed the instructions of the "Creating plugins.txt" in the "PoeHud/release/plugins/" folder upto line 20 and let Visual Studio place all the methods that are supposed to be overwritten and now don't really know what to do next.
I would be grateful for any links, hints, tips or w/e to help me get started.
Thanks in Advance!
