PoEHUD - Overlay for Path of Exile (Updated for 3.0)

Main account that hasn't touched cheats since the warning is still fine. So is the account above where I was using the Turbohud method and the client found and tried to scan the poehud exe but was denied.

If you get banned and want to post this template would probably give some useful information - 'I got banned' doesn't really help much.

It does look like the Thud method works right now, it would be useful to know for sure that that there are no outliers that used every precaution and still got banned. Boterang above seems to be fine having always used Thud method.

Going to do some more monitoring on a fresh acc and see if I can get it banned.

I dont get what you mean, Run HUD, with POE running inside a Sandboxie ? No, POE would be run virtually with now way for HUD to access it.

This aint true, sandboxie doesn't work the same was a VM and you can still allow programs access in and out. They are still running in Windows under a very limited user.

I tried this myself and it worked fine but I'm not sure what difference it would make vs the thud method as poe is still going to see that the program is reading its memory and attempt to access it.

even if you rename a file it still retains metadata you can lookup

after getting my warning, i stopped using poehud but continued with maphack which modifies memory, yet no ban. So maybe theyre just checking for poehud. Tho if thats the case why not just check for cheatengine while theyre checking the list of running processes...

Is there a way to change/remove to Original filename?

This is what I did to check what's happening arround with ban,

Installed POE and made fresh account on another machine with WIRESHARK to monitor my network
Renamed POE Hud folder
Renamed Poe Hud exe file
Run only HUD and played it for couple of hours

5 hours later I got BANNed. I've noticed wia WIRESHARK nothing tryed to enter IN my machine from outside, but POE activates several strange processes that constantly sends packages OUT my machine when I start Path of Exile. Traffic from my PC toward poe EU server was unusually HIGH ( not as before ) and there are several processes constantly trying to ping out ( not as before as well ). I think Path of exile client itself is a big fuckn wormhole to their servers, sending logs and screen captures from time to time. Pls dont tell me thay must not do it due to legal issue. . Only fool could be convinced itself this is impossible due to legal issues. All big software companies do it arround to protect it's products and track ( monitor )the way their products are exploited. It's very naive to think fuckn GGG dont do it.

What put me to this conclusion is a reddit article where someone put POE under LINux and got whole CAN OF WORMS.

Its naive to think thay did not be able to monitor and see it whole time since very beginning of the game.
It was just matter of " will thay do ban or no ".

Well, Im not sure was it cuz of Tencen deal or something else, but thay finally decide to " clean the yard " for professional and bussines purpose.
Here is the deal,. u installed POE, u acces their servers, u cheated, u think thay're nice and polite and there is no chance thay track u,
you believed it and get rekt.

Simple as that.

I think this is permanent, and thay will fight , step by step all cheat utils and apps .

My next test before quit will be test under VIRTUALBOX with whonix ( probably via LINUX KALI ).

I found 2 NEW POE like, alternate online games cuz POE is made to punish players. Great idea, game with great potential, but fucked up too many things to stay hooked up.

Yes. I should have taken notes when I did this last night...

You have to open the project, change a couple of things (rename the project? something like that) and compile it.

I think I also had to change the startup project since the setting one set to the old project name after I renamed it.

Still trying to get this account detected/banned if possible but after 1hr+ of playing so far zero sign of any scans. Will keep it running in the background and check up on it while I do other stuff but IIRC the previous scan was triggered on an area change so might have to keep doing this periodically.

There was an update of battle net this morning. I can no longer start battle net as /runas with a limited user. It asks for credentials then it fails.

I've also been trying to get detected the last few days, but no luck so far, even with intrusive stuff like memory editing and debugger breakpoints. Maybe they don't scan new/lowlevel accounts to make reverse engineering harder?

I wouldn't be surprised, since they are doing other anti-RE stuff like reimplementing GetModuleHandle and GetProcAddr to obfuscate their code, and encrypting certain module and function names in their binary.

What if you renamed this entire program (and everything in it)? So there wouldn't be any references to poehud to scan for? Call it 'trademacro' instead, lol.
