That's because Coyl is Russian and took the page down. Which likely means that for now he is no longer updating it. If/When he returns the links will be updated I would guess.

As for the previous version it is the same as my version that I have and there is no evidence that it contains anything more than a packed EXE.

1) Jaerin needs to start cleaning up this thread. I had posts culled from just talking about reversing confuser; this is just too much FUD :muppet:
2) PoeHud_141220 is CLEAN. Source: me. ConfuserEX 0.3.0 was used here and I was able to get it back to bytecode (for teh refactorin')
3) PoeHud_141223: I can not speak for this as it uses ConfuserEX 0.4.0 which is giving me problems on deobfuscating. I am also very not motivated to break a whole packer/obfuscator for just one app :lol:
4) There is some evidence that ConfuserEX at maximum settings can increase the size of an MSIL binary. Mainly related to increasing "decoderCount" for constants protection.
5) If you think the file has a virus that will steal your SO and sour the milk in your fridge then DONT USE IT AND STOP POSTING HERE

I would, but I stepped down as moderator. Didn't have the time nor the desire to keep cleaning like this crap up. So many people around that have a seizure when their free apps stop working, but can't be bothered with even a simple rep or kudos for the work. Doesn't matter, just means that another round of selfless devs getting beaten down until they don't want to help anyone anymore. Never ending cycle of asshats. One day they might learn, but I doubt it.

I've spoken with Coyl. I confirmed that he has no desire to continue to support this project. I have his latest source, but I'm not sure what I will do with it just yet. No real point in releasing it unless there is someone reliable that will take it over.

@Centarius, http://p6720.shared.hc.ru is not mine. No surprise there can be any kind of viruses on that site.

@Manocean, consfuser 0.30 produced 3 detections, the version 0.40 is getting unexpectedly too much detectoins. Even the old exes packed with 0.30 got lots of detections.

I even could guess how it has happened - some malware was packed with confuser, and the AV teams have detected something common for all confuser packed binaries

Coyl is unable to accept donations. I do have plans to try and find someone to take over this project and keep it updated if I don't learn how to do it myself. I have some skills, but not usually enough to create things from scratch. It might give me a good reason to get off my lazy ass and finally learn it instead of just talking about it.

These funds are not for personal use and will not be used for such. They will only go to the fees associated with keeping POEHud working.

I confirm that you may pass donations to Jaerin. Russian central bank forbids donations (as paypal support has told me) and my PP is suspended... for 7 years or so.
We'll find a way to transfer your donations to me via swift or different payment system or otherwise spend those funds into improvement of poehud.


I can't say anything definite about my role in furhter development. I don't play PoE now, so have little interest to code this tool. Neither I can accept direct payments for it.

For one reason it just makes it easier for GGG to combat it, if when they decide that they want too. The other reason is because of the same thing that keeps happening in here.

Everyone ends up using a different version compiled against different source trees and no one has a clue as to what is really a problem and what is not. Everyone wants things configured a 100 different ways and distributes their versions that are unsupported and hacked to pieces only to have people complain about how it doesn't work. If you don't believe me just read through this entire thread. The only time it was organized was when we had 1 developer and they were controlling all aspects of the program.
