I have actually disconnected all monitors but one, and then started both poe and HUD, still no overlay.
Does HUD has to have active window? Because I can see it in taskbar, but it does not produces selectable window...
No there is no window associated with the exileHUD process. There is a taskbar icon that shows though.
I would delete you existing files, and redownload it to a different location so you an be sure not to get a cached copy
I'm not sure how the memory/populating works, but is there a way to give alert if there is a Treasure rare in the instance?...
After hundreds of times trying to make it work, see what I found.
1. Change exileHUD compability to windows Vista.
2. POE must be fullscreen windowed.
3. POE can not be minimized while opening exilehud (must remain fullscreen windowed).
Hope that helped for somebody.
Oh, and by the way, apparently not everything works.
Zoom, map, light and warnings does work.
HP, XP, item level and icons on map does not.

In general, type (e.g. monster types, strongbox types, exiles because they each have their own type etc.) can be detected at instance load, but properties (e.g. rarity or modifiers) can only be detected by proximity. The exception seems to be unique monsters/boxes because they require loading of different resources than the regular variety.
On a different note, we need to start a counter for this question, hehe. Or have everyone say cheers and empty their beers when it gets asked.![]()
