based, you saved me from having to quit poe once poesmoother goes paid only lol
the game runs pretty much almost just as good as poesmoother when disabling all particles, just needs an option to disable all mtx too and keep the "essential" effects like ground effects and such
you can probably copy poesmoother's active effect list for that which is what i did, just add all the text from it to the "paths to skip" text file and you're good to go i think unless i misunderstood what that file is for and how it works xd

Is using 'reveal map' any more or less "risky" than using say radar 'reveal walkable map' option on EAPI?

This is a little hard to answer. I don't believe we've seen any bans for using a GGPK editor like this and we have seen ExileAPI being detected (before the limited user method). That said, with ExileAPI being entirely out of process and the protection of windows when you run PoE as a limited user... it should in theory be dramatically safer. The GGPK is a file loaded directly into memory by PoE and it has full access to it. If you were to modify this file (such as revealing the map) they could absolutely look at these code chunks and validate that they are not modified.
My stance is that for this specific feature, ExileAPI is dramatically safer as long as you use the limited user method.

Thanks for the reply. This is was my thought process as well, but considering that there aren't any bans reported for other modifications (like removing effects etc.) I was unsure, it just seemed like the map reveal was a little sketchy in comparison.
Off topic but do you (or anyone reading) have any recommendations to increase the performance of ExileAPI radar/map icon rendering? Some maps I get a lot of latency between the 'real' map and what is being rendered by EAPI, and its dizzying.
