I can confirm that I get a timeout whenever I try to run task "Gather High quality Iron Ore" (mailsmith - tier 2 - gather basic). Installing back 1.3.1 did not fix it for me. I have no problems running other leadership tasks, but with this blacksmith task, Gateway auto-selects the right asset (Blacksmith) but never press the "Start task" buttom. (If I stop the bot and press the buttom manually, it starts the task.


EDIT: REinstalled the application (using a zipped 1.3.2 version from my other pc) and now it works ok. Pretty weird if you ask me...


On a side note, one thing that I would love to see in your bot is at least one alternative craft per slot. If taks one fails (due to lack of assets/mats or simply because that task is not available at that precise moment (blue tasks!)) then it tries to run the alternative task.

I got some problems with Alchemy on an alt - since yesterday evening the log looks like this:

10:44:12 : Starting job
10:44:27 : Job could not get started
10:44:30 : Starting slot 4
[...]
10:57:24 : Going to the jobsite
10:57:41 : Timeout when trying to go to the jobsite
10:57:46 : Starting slot 4
and so on ..

I tried different recipes, tried changing the order of recipes, restartet the bot, downloaded and reinstalled the bot ... the bot just tries to start that job over and over again. It works, if i start exact that slot by hand once ...

my internet dc's a bit shit isp. Is there anyway atall to make this relog me back in and start again?

Just to let you know, I setup 1.3.2 again and it was still giving me timeout errors. Seems to start doing it, when it gets to the "start task" phase on a job, after it picks assets. Once it's there, it will do it for any slot that is open, meaning it won't collect, start tasks, etc. I switched back to 1.3.1. I have no need of Alchemy right now.

sounds like a common profession bug where the gateway and in game can only see rare tasks even when the que is empty, similar to Only Rare Tasks For Professions?

can you try starting a task manually and then cancel the task and see if that fixes your troubles?

Hello, I've downloaded this program from both sites, tried unpacking it with winrar and 7zip. running win 7 64 bit home premium. I cannot get the program to run. Some unpacks would just say program has stopped working and i can send a report to windows, some tries just open for a few seconds then close immediately. I'm not re-naming anything, not playing around, tried to make different folders, no folders, desktop, directly to C, etc. everything i could think of. I've disabled avast, and windows defender, and firewall, none of these stop the issue. Are there any instructions other than re-extract? Should it just be extract file run autoprofessionbot.exe? Could you provide a link to 1.3.1 just so I can try that? Cheers

Yes I did, every bot has its own folder.

I think may have discovered a limitation of the Gateway itself whether incidental or intentional. If I am logged into the same account from more than 4 different instances of the gateway either through the bot and firefox, I seem to inevitably get the "Job could not get started" error on the one started last. I am still able to start a 5th instance in my browser and do it myself though if I start 4 bots first. However I'm still testing this. Has anybody got 5 or more simultaneous bots running on one account succcessfully?

OK this CPU usage is getting really frustrating, I'm thinking it relates to running multiple instances of the app. And yes every folder was copied seperately.
It seemingly at random starts taking up 50% of cpu usage when its not even doing anything, like waiting between jobs. Onces it starts it doesn't stop, does not release the cpu resources and I have to close it.

there might be a limitation on their site. about the cpu usage, I noticed that too and to be honest - I have no explanation for this

i just registered here to say thank you for this great tool (and found this site is great too btw)
this saves me a lot of time because i am running multiple accounts and this makes it way easier then loggin in every toon everytime

the bot does automaticly try to restart a job it it failed

One other thing I'd like to ask, is anyone else having issues with the bot randomly picking a slot to start and then randomly placing it in the first, available slot? As it stands now, I have to manually start all the jobs I want to run, THEN start the bot, 'cos if I don't it will first pick, say Slot 7 and then put it in Slot 1. Then it picks Slot 6 and puts it in Slot 2? o.O

I disagree with your assertion that the timeout is also the gateway because I can still click through inside the bot browser window to start the task manually. The timeout does seem to happen mostly with alchemy I don't think I've had the particlular error anywhere else.

The Job could not get started error is probably the gateway I will usually get if I try to run more than three instances of the gateway on one account, this include bots and regular browser windows. However sometimes this happens with 3 or less as well. Just one bot running on an account seems to be reliable although I have gotten 3 bots plus my web browser running for about 6 hours. once. At the moment however it is giving me grief with the "Job could not get started error" with just 2 bots and the browser. I really want to love this program but at the present it has caused be me a lot of frustration because it just doesn't do what its supposed to do reliably.

Dragonef22 I have to say I appreciate all the effort you've put into this and I understand if you want to move on. This nifty little application works pretty well it would be great if someone could step up and continue to debug it and refine its reliability, unfortunately I lack the skills to do so but I will continue testing it and I hope someone will continue working on it.

As it stands now what makes this bot so valuable is the time it saves, Unfortunate with the currently reliability issues diminish its value in that area.

I realize that some of the issues are with the gateway limitations but it seeing as its not consistent there is probably some things that could be done to mitigate the larger the headaces, at least I hope so, again I know nothing about coding.


Ok now the alchemy tasks are getting time outs right from the get go, I can't even get it started. If I stop it I can click though in the bot browser window and start everything but than it just times out again on the next round, so this is definitely something with bot, and seems to be specific to alchemy. Which is a shame because alchemy is stupidly grindy with lots of short tasks and I really would like to use this bot for it, because I probably won't bother with it other wise.

This happend to me aswell though i fixed it with a new settings file. Just start small, 1 task, 1 job with something simple (gather tailoring). That fixed it for me.

Its missing recipes like Alchemy_Tier1_Force_Potion_Minor and Alchemy_Tier1_Force_Potion_Minor but thats only tier 1, i'm sure there are plenty more missing in the higher tiers.

Anyway awesome bot so far!

Your having same issue as i am and only a couple others , and apparently there is no fix what so ever and nothing is being looked into with any effort. Good thing this bot is free cause the fact that the only reply for this issue is basically "Idk it runs for me , cant figure that issue out" or "Install .net framework" kinda saddens me but like i said its free cant complain to much. We are just the unlucky few.

GL and if you find a fix please post it for everyone! I've tried just about everything even things that should have nothing to do with it. I've ran it in compatibility mode to older windows even troubleshooted it to the point where i got a error saying it couldnt find the xulrunner folder but when setting it with those prefferences running without the troubleshooter still gave me the file can not run error.
