    A review of CK's APB:

I've been running CK's version of APB (henceforth APB) for about two weeks now, so I feel I'm apt to write a review about it. I've tried his/her (for the sake of brevity, I'll refer to CK as a "he") previous versions, but they were unstable compared to Dragonne/TW's version, so I mostly stuck with that one. However, this one is a tad better than all his previous versions, therefore I opted to use it. First things to notice about APB are the auto-login feature, the updated Gecko, multi-toon ability and MASSIVE reduction in CPU usage and memory. I've run 2 toons on my main account, 2 on my alt account and 1 on my wife's account, at the same time, while playing Neverwinter on an old 3.4 Ghz Pentium D (you know, the ACTUAL gen 1 Core Duo) all without a single hiccup or lag in game. The bot's actions are smooth and unnoticeable, for the most part.

However, one of the first things I noticed is that if you setup professions, which has a bit of a learning curve, compared to the previous versions, with a RARE job and the bot doesn't find it, it will go into an endless loop trying to do said job, rather than moving down to the next job in the queue. To me, this is a major problem. I like to snag the Protect Diamonds rare as much as possible, as it garners a good AD bonus, using only a single asset, but APB will waste hours of profession task time, running an endless loop UNTIL it can start the job.

Another annoyance is the fact that APB doesn't ALWAYS use the assets subscribed to a job. There's nothing more irritating than having 12 adventurers and seeing 6 sitting in your inventory, while you're running 6 Leadership jobs. The reason I have 12 is so I can double up on my time completing jobs, not so they're sitting in my inventory, doing nothing. It's not just with greens, blues and purples, either. I was running a mailsmithing job with 1 blue and 3 prospectors, only to have the bot decide to *NOT* use my prospectors. Hey, that 5% time decrease is STILL a decrease, so losing a 15% time decrease, 'cos the bot just doesn't feel like using an asset is unacceptable.

Though this version of APB is great (it really is!), while in game, it's best to avoid the Professions screen, as it seems to interfere with APB, causing encryption errors in Gecko, forcing you to tab out of the game to click 'ok' to get the bot to run again. If you uncheck the box to warn you of an encrypted page, APB (more than likely a feature in Gecko which should be turned off) will do it anyway, with the box checked yet again. No matter how many times you uncheck the bock, it will still warn you. This sucks, if you're AFK and it does it when you're not around, 'cos the bot will just stop.

Setting up job queues is a job all in itself. The 'Repeat List' and 'Repeat X Times' can be a bit confusing to a newcomer and I've noticed that sometimes, the 'Repeat Lists' seems to uncheck itself. If you need to set up multiple slots to do the same queue lists, I suggest you do EACH job for EACH slot, one at a time, so you don't make mistakes. I love how CK setup the Optional Assets, but it's annoying to go through all that trouble, just to have the bot, itself, not use all the assets assigned.

The 'On Work-Hide' button needs to be moved from the Settings tab, down with the 'Start/Stop' buttons, so it's accessible on any Tab. Not a gripe, just better UI layout.

APB *REALLY* needs a delay timer, so it's not constantly pinging the gateway and the professions.txts need to be updated, so we don't have to constantly keep doing it.

I love this version of APB, but there are still some issues with it, that are forcing me back to TW's last (And only) version of APB, until they're resolved. The biggest problem I have right now is the rare job endless loop bug and the fact APB doesn't use all my assets I've assigned. However, Cyreal KIller's version of APB is *FAR* superior to the previous versions, in *ANY* of the incarnations, so once he works the kinks out, it will be an absolute joy to use.

    Pros:

    -Muliple Toons per session
    -Auto Login Feature
    -Updated Gecko
-EXTREMELY low CPU and memory usage

    Cons:

-Professions Queues a bit hard to set up
    -Encrypted page timeouts
-Assets not being used on jobs, when assigned
-Unable to queue rare jobs in profession tasks, without an endless loop if not available
-On Work button needs to be moved to where it's accessible from any tab
    -APB needs a delay timer

    Overall Average: B-

    Status Update

First off I'd like to thank Methuselas for the review it was vary insightful, it's always great to hear feedback from the community. Secondly I would like to give everyone an update as to where I am currently with the bot.

Coming soon will be a video tutorial for how to setup the bot which should ease the learning curve.

Include in the next release will be the delay timer everyone has been asking for. The delay system will let the bot run a full cycle then begin the delay between each check. The bot will continue to run the delay until a slot is collected and started again, then the bot will repeat a quick cycle of all active slots followed by delayed cycles again. How long the bot will delay is completely up to you as you may set it in the settings tab.

The next release will also be including a fully updated list of all tasks as well as Name conversion, so when selecting the task in the Professions tab it will not be the cryptic string. This should help ease the learning curve alongside the video tutorial.

There have also been bug fixes for the encrypted page error message, queue advancement loop, saving cycles, Repeat List saving, and increased the character slots to 7.

This release should be out soon, also if anyone could give any examples of what conditions when the bot is ignoring assets (ie, Tasked selected, Assets Selected and Amount, etc..), anything to help narrow down the issue.

First of all, love the program Cyrealkiller, especially the cpu usage.

    Also great review Methuselas.

Just wanted to say one thing that really made the previous iterations of the program easier to use is the fact that you could see everything at once at a glance. In that way you could ensure you have everything you wanted covered.

It's no problem. I've been waiting to use yours, 'cos I really dug your UI (I did some game UI work back in the day, so I admire stuff like this.) I'm only using TW's version for my main, 'cos I don't like the wasted resources when I'm trying to do rare jobs, but my alt and wife's account are still using your version, 'cos it's just so quick and snappy. Man, I was doing some extremely CPU intensive renders in maya, while running 3, separate APBs and my machine didn't bat an eye, nor did maya's batch render throw a fit for not having CPU/ram. I cannot WAIT for the next version, so if you would like a beta tester, just shoot me a pm here.

Really lloking foward to the new version - actually using the beta 4 build, since i got serious problems with my security grid and the beta 5 build. But after all, it works like a charm.

Methu put a finger on sthing id really like to have in your bot - an if/else option for rare tasks (e.g. leadership).. Not sure if its doable, but it would really "kick ass", if u know what i mean.

After all, keep up the good work - and if u need a tester for sthing, leave me a note

For some who are having issues with making it running correctly. Here what I did to get it work without errors showing up.

    1. Clone the Original folder from Dragonef22 (v1.3.2)
    2. Download ALL new versions created by Cyrealkiller. from v1.4.0 Beta1 to Beta 5b
    3. Unzip each version of Cyeralkiller, one by one (IN ORDER 1 to 5 heh.) over the Original. Replace everything of course.
    4. After reaching the beta 5b. Delete the older .EXEs, and now you should be able to run everything without problems. (I hope )

One question though, that might look stupid, but it ain't for me. Any chance to have a version for MAC? I would love to run this on my Macbook on the side, so my PC is free for anything else. hehe.

Does anyone have a settings file or a recommendation on a cycle of crafting to level a profession (looking for mailsmithing) something like
    slot 1 gather T1 mat
    slot 2 refine T1 mat
    slot 3 make X item
    slot 4 make X+2 item
    slot 5 gather T2 mat
    slot 6 refine T2 mat
    slot 7 make X+3 item

Ive been trying to find a system that works but I keep running into dead ends or running out of time to work on it.

I've been using APB for a while and today Malwarebytes has decided to quarantine it claiming Trojan.MSIL.Disfa. I understand there are false positives but this seems to be very specific. Any thoughts?

With the release of the Feywild expansion today, it appears that AutoProfessionBot is broken. It seems to be some problem with xulrunner, however I am not sure. Can the original author look at the issue, or is someone else able to make a fix?

    Hey Everyone,

I'm currently working on the updated version of the bot to include the new professions and see if any issues are occurring to prevent functionality of the bot. An update will be posted soon.

the bot still seems to work fine, except it doesnt select the optional assets.
It looks like it cant find the unid for it.
Still running, but a bit slower.

Good luck on creating the update
