Ingame Speed - do you actually like to play like this?

Today i joined the free 10Days trial for WAR. I leveled a firemage up to lv10, afterwards i leveled a withhunter that is now lv7. I mostly leveled through RvR and quested while waiting in the queue.

On my experience, both chars feeled like a destro lock on vanilla wow.

The whole game feels just slow and i dont mean the fps.

imo, games awesome, your only level 7 so yeah..your not getting the full game experience with more spells and stuff.
try going with a mdps (its a bright wizard and witch hunter btw lol)

I know what you mean. I have a level 19 Bright Wizard. I quit a few weeks after lanuch and re-joined. I quit due to it not pulling me in and the fact that I was getting some kind of interface lag, where I would cast a spell and it would take more thana second to show I was casting. I rejoined hoping it would have been fixed but still the same. It is slow though.

IMHO, leveling in this game is so much more fun then other games (and far more faster). First off, Scenarios give you so much XP, it is like turning in 3 quests each game (assuming you know how to play). In addition... as far as cast time... wtf? I have never heard that. Some more powerful spells have a slower cast time... and?

This applies to almost every MMO I have ever played. In addition, if you don't want a long cast time, play a class with a lot of instant casts, i.e. melee, engineer, etc.

Not playing a game because of cast time is stupid.

Its not the fact the spells casting speed is slow(Thats part of the game) but the fact the interface and models lag and takes a few seconds before it shows it is casting.

To be honest, I don't hate the game...had some fun with it for a few months. The combat does seem kind of slow...it is more about positioning than anything else. There is not enough reactive abilities in this game...like everyone seems to just spam their best abilities without concerning themselves with what their enemy is doing. In other games you would need to save your big spells and use your interrupts/CC at the right times. But this game is still fun, just not really for me.

But the biggest reason for me not being too thrilled with the game is the fact that they dropped the ball on the Warhammer IP. Warhammer is one of my favorite IPs and I just don't get the Warhammer vibe while playing this game. Maybe it should have been mature or whatever...but when I think of Warhammer, I think of a dark and grim world, filled with death and hopelessness. I just didn't get that while playing this game.

i quitted becaus of one simple reason.
I didnt like the combat system, its too slow and i dont rly think it works that great
Other than the combat system its a great game.

I bought the game, and I love it. I think it's great, it's the perfect game for me. However, I couldn't stand the frame rate, or whatever was lagging the game. I couldn't stand the delays. If it was an odd lag spike here or there, then fine, but the constant jumpiness just put me completely off. If I was told that was fixed, I'd go back to it straight away.

I quit because the game seemed clunky and very slow. got up to level 21 (tier3?) and didn't have it in me to keep going.

I played WAR in beta and a bit after it was released. I stopped playing because i found that there wasn't much to do after level 40 and most of my friends had stopped playing. It was still a pretty good game, but I didnt like it as much as Dark Age of Camelot.
