[Ashes of Al'ar] - The Ashes of Al'ar grant their wielder the ability to summon an epic phoenix mount. The item has a very low drop chance. The Ashes drop from Kael'thas Sunstrider in the Tempest Keep Raid "The Eye".
[Amani War Bear] - The Amani War Bear is a very rare epic mount that requires the journeyman riding skill to ride. The bear is decorated with tribal arms and decorations and was lootable from the reward chest after successfully doing the timed events on Zul'Aman. Following the implementation of Patch 3.0.2, the Amani War Bear was removed as the reward and is no longer obtainable by players.
[Swift Razzashi Raptor] - The Swift Razzashi Raptor is a rare drop from the boss Bloodlord Mandokir in Zul'Gurub. This epic mount is extremely sought after for its rarity. Removed in Patch 4.0.3a
[Crusader's White Warhorse] - The Crusader's White Warhorse is the reward for Alliance players who earn the achievement [A Tribute to Immortality] in 25-man Trial of the Grand Crusader. This mount has been unavailable since 4.0.3a when the limited attempts system was removed.
[Black Proto Drake] - Complete the Dungeons & Raids achievement Glory of the Raider (25 player). Removed in Patch 3.1.0
[Deadly Gladiator's Frostwyrm] - This mount was awarded to top ranking arena teams at the end of Arena Season 5. Added in Patch 3.1.0.
[Relentless Gladiator's Frost Wyrm] - This mount was awarded to top ranking arena teams at the end of Arena Season 7. Added in Patch 3.2.0
[Swift Zhevra] - A special mount that players could earn only through the Recruit-A-Friend program. Prior to April 27, 2010, it was possible to earn this mount as a reward bonus of the Recruit-A-Friend system, once the recruit had bought World of Warcraft and 60 days of playtime. Removed in Hotfix.
