Ok guys. MMowned's little trading section is pretty cool way to get your account sold or traded to other users, but sometimes it is a little difficult. I had my account on here for a while, and it never sold. So i decided to try some other sites, and i made quiet a good deal of money, $230 to be exact, not bad. So before i give you a list of some sites, i need to explain the several different selling options you have.
NOTE: I do not suggest trying to sell scammed accounts. They are very difficult to get the full transaction to go through, as they need to talk to the account owner many times
Methods
1. Direct Sell
This is where you directly sell your account, you list your requested price, and people buy it from you. This will often be a forum type setup. Depending on the site, the site may take their own fee out to list you account, or take out a percentage once it is sold. Sometimes there will be no fee. This normally is the method that will make the most amount of money, but normally is much harder to make a profit
2. Consignment
Consignment is when a site will for a certain time, lets say 2 months, will try to sell your account. They will sell it for you, and will take a slice from the profit, for example, 50% of the profits will go to them. The percentage will obviously vary site to site. But if they do not themselves sell the account, then you dont have to pay anything at all.
3. Instant Cash
This is the method i used. What you do in an instant cash method is you sell your account directly to the website, so your account is bought instantly, and u get the cash right away. What they do is they buy your account, obviously for a reduced price, then they resell it for a greater profit. The reason i chose this method is i wanted to get rid of my account ASAP, and this method was what i needed. Because with consignment and direct sell, you have to wait to get an offer, where with instant cash you get paid right away. This is one where you deffinately have to dhop around to make sure u get the best offer. From one site i was offered 120, another 150, another 230. So just check every site you can to make sure you are getting the best offer.
4. Trade-in/Store Credit
This method is pretty self explanitory. Instead of getting real money, you get 'credit' so you can buy another account off their site. This is for those who want to buy a new account as soon as they sell their old one. Often you will recieve a much higher quote if you are excahnging for store credit as apposed to real money.
Sites
Ok now lets cover some sites. Just remember, check a multitude of websites before you decide what you are doing, because you will get different offers from different sites.
My Pick: Toonstorm
ToonStorm
ToonStorm is the site i used. I checked almost every site on this list, and they offered the best instant cash offer, or at least for my account. I found their site easy to navigate, and quiet simple. All i did for selling my account was fill out a very simple form that gave a brief description of my account, then was redirected to their customer service. I chatted with them and they offered me a whoping $230 for my account, which i gladly accepted. Their live chat customer service helped guide me through the process, and made it quiet simple. We transfered everything over, my e-mail, password, secret question, etc, quiet cleanly and the customer service helped me through it. Everything went smoothly and cleanly. They called me to confirm the transfer, to ensure that it was my account, and then, 5 minutes later, in my paypal account, sure enough, $230. I highly recommend them!
MMOtoons
MMOtoons is a website that Matt is affiliated with. I have never used their services before, but they seem to have a pretty good setup.

Also dont be afraid to google for other sites, but make sure they are a reputable and respected site.Originally Posted by KuRIoS
Heres some things to remember when selling your account, some of this is high-jacked from kurios's thread:
-USE PAYPAL!!! Paypal has many easy ways to settle claims, incase you get scammed or cheated. Paypal is a great tool, and dont forget it!
- Deal with companies. I only deal with companies because they are usually trustworthy in sending payments for your account. Companies have policies which they must follow in order to be successful. I only sell accounts to companies because the process is much safer - you will not be scammed if you use the right companies and follow the correct precautions.
- Do not allow the buyer to have a 'test-drive' of the account unless he is TrustWho verified (explained below). A buyer may want to 'test-drive' your account to get it banned, to offload gold or to do anything unethical. Scammers have strange ways of thinking, and usually they will do anything to try and mess up a persons sale. Be safe and only allow TrustWho verified buyers to try out your account before purchase.
- NEVER, give the vital account information to a buyer over IM/Email. PayPal's polciies state that if you can provide sufficient tracking information, the buyer will not win the chargeback. What this means is, after you have received the $$, give the buyer the Username & Password - nothing else. You then need to request his house address and send the vital information (SQ/A, Email address etc) to his house address through an option which allows mail tracking. If you can proove to PayPal you have sent the goods (In this case your account) - you will win the chargeback. If a buyer efuses to give you his house address, and doesn't want to do this verification step - tell him to go f*** himself, block him and refund his $$. I say refund, because you scamming is as bad as them doing it.
- Know your Seller. This one is important - you need to know who your buyer exactly is. Ask him for his phone number, just to be safe you are dealing with the buyer who he says he is. Perhaps even phone him for verification of the sale. To be on the safe side, if you are selling a half-decent account to a player - ring him up and confirm he's who he says he is. One phonecall to the USA could shit the scammer up, and make him drop the scam attempt. Never accept mobile phones as an acceptable communication method - use only phone numbers.
- Proof of Delivery. Screenshot the whole IM/Email conversation, and screenshot you giving him the Username/Password (Assuming you follow my above precaution of not giving vital information online). The tracking information of the account details sent will be enough to proove you delivered the item to the address you should have. These two combined will prevent ANY PayPal chargebacks - meaning your secure and risk-free. This does not apply to PayPal's which are 'hacked'. PayPal will always chargeback the funds if funds are sent unauthorised.
- Use only TrustWho private individuals. Read the next post for TrustWho.
TRUSTWHO:
- Use only TrustWho private individuals. TrustWho is a service that confirms sellers and buyers location of residence by a series of checks and verification steps. The typical TrustWho verification service includes:- Photo of self, mail address confirmed, phone number verified. Dealng with a TrustWho verified member usually means that they have no intentions to scam - because if they did, you have access to his private contact details by supplying the screenshots (explained above). If you wish to look into TrustWho, take a look at there website at Trust Who(SM): Viewing the portal page. If you want to make yourself TrustWho verified, visit Game Codes, Game Time, Registration keys, World of Warcraft, EVE, DDO, Ultima Online and more....... and purchase the verification process. If you're TrustWho verified, you will receive more sales - FACT.
Ok so just remember there is some good alternatives out there to just using MMOwned. If you are looking to sell your account for instant cash, i HIGHLY recommend toonstorm, but check all the other sites too! I hope this helps you guys get your accounts sold!
