Battleground Target Addon

I need someone with greater programming knowledge to assist me in a WoW addon creation. An addon like this would certainly get great attention and major appreciation among the rated bg players.


Basically in a nutshell. I play dot classes. Boomkin, spriest, lock etc... My damage is 100% reliant on my dots. What I want to do is have a grid template addon which tracks when my dots are dispelled, wear off and so forth. The grid should look just like a healers grid however appear enemy targets.

I posted this thread in a few places under different aliases. So if you notice my name elsewhere, please don't post about it (due to hiding my identity).

Any help will be appreciated.

When you say it "should look just like a healers grid however appear enemy targets" do you mean literary just look the same, or do you want the click-to-target functionality etc?
And are we talking a purely legit addon here (ie no client hacks)?

Because I don't think it can be done without hacks due to how protected functions and the secure templates work. You can't modify (ie add or remove targets) on a secure frame while in combat. And if it isn't a secure frame, then you can't use it for anything except visual indications.
And even if there's a workaround for that you'd have problems when there's multiple mobs with the same name. You can track the dots by guids, but you can only target by name or unitid afaik.

If it needs to be a hack, that could work as well. I just need something that will help me out in rbgs (as well as my team mates).
