Take a shot of your code (View -> Code) and it will be a lot easier to determine what you're doing wrong.

Thanks for willing to help me jet and sorry for wasting your time. I managed to fix the errors by reinstalling Visual basic 2008 with service pack 1 from a different website. I also tried following your tutorial in a slightly different way (i think the problem was that instead of copy and pasting your code over the default one, i was adding your code into it). I have now built my gm hack sucessfully.

The only problem that remains is that when i typed in a fake username and password to test it, i got nothing in my gmail or MSN inbox. i am going over your tutorial again to make sure i have not made any mistakes.

does the email take a while to get to me?

Nope, should get to you within about 5-10 seconds. Go to my profile, click Contact Info and add me to MSN. I'll be sure to help you out there.
