THUD showing items that could be Ancient in cube?

Is it me, or was there a time when items in the inventory, while using the cube, would indicate whether or not it could roll Ancient?

I swear that this used to be a feature. Either that of upgrading rare items, or rerolling legendary items.

there is no way to tell that. its a 10% chance to roll an ancient item. simple as that. thud indicated which items are not yet cubed.

The only thing that I can come up with that you might be thinking about is HUD telling you that an item is ancient or primal before you have identified it, but that is because the game has decided what it is on drop and has nothing to do with re-rolls. There is no way to tell before hand, as the game just calculates the item again as a fresh drop when reforging etc.
