You need to install VMTools.. it will install an SVGA driver.

Downloadable from VMWare's site:

Mount the ISO as a CD in preferences and then install it in the virtual machine.. NOT your real operating system.

I've tried to set this up a few times.

I'm running VMWare Workstation 8.01, and I can get everything to run flawlessly as long as its the selected window, but the minute I try to do something on my desktop/non-vm the scripts move my ACTUAL mouse to VM and everything gets mixed up.

I have AutoIT installed in the VM, and Im running the script in the VM, I'm not an idiot, I just can't figure out why it's having issues.

tl;dr - it seems like the mouse in the VM and my physical mouse are somehow the same thing.

Got an issue now with running VMware+AutoIT @ 1920x1080 and my GPU.

All of a sudden, my GPU will downclock itself down to half speed.

as can be seen in the attached image.
I've upped the voltage / lowered my coreclock a bit, and updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers.
Still - no luck. Anyone have an idea about what might cause this?

guys, i have tried running the script on vmware, sometimes it works fine but sometime it just stuck at the entrance of the dank cellar. This doesn't happen when I use the same script on the real windows... anyone knows how to solve that?

try two different things. 1, leave the VM workstation [not the vms themself] in fullscreen, doesn't need to be on top, cover it with shit, but leave it.

second. open a small video or movie, anything that would require GPU usage but only a tiny bit, then tab it out.

Hye LATM, I played around with it today a bit and now that I've switched off the overclock on my GPU fully (back to factory standards) it seems to be running fine.
Even running the slightest overclock with the highest possible vcore wouldnt have it working fully for a longer period of time.

So yeah, I would say this is a non issue as of now seeing as my card can safely run the VM + 1 instance of Diablo 3, but I guess it would be a good reminder for anyone else trying this out to consider switching any overclock on the GPU off.

I've had some problems with pixel searching lagging the VM and making looting very slow. Since it seemed CPU related I set the VM to 2 cores which didn't help. Later on I tried 2 processors and this fixed the problem for a while.

I've recently purchased a new SSD and re-installed Vm-ware workstation and made a new VM. I've set it to 2 processors which worked for me last time but for some reason pixel search is still lagging, which makes me think I might have tweaked something else without knowing it that fixed it. Has anyone had/solved this or similiar problems?

Okay I fixed the problem, for others having the same problem: What I had to do was make another VM, I'm not even using it but creating another 1 fixed it for me, no clue why!

Since you will have several instance running on the same IP, doesn't that increase greatly the detection factor ? or it actually mean nothing at all ?

With vm it is easier than ever to run vpn. There are guides on how to set this up on the web

Fyi,(this is only my situation btw) the only time i have ever recieved a ban on any accounts d3 or wow was when i was using different ips via vpn. If i use my normal ip i have never recieved any bans. Odd i know but this is just how it has played out for me.

negative, they don't do it by IP.

They have no way of knowing if its multiple people at same house, or a lan center, or any other public location etc.

3 running 24/7 same Ip, almost 4 weeks now with no ban.
