Running in VMWare - allows ANY resolution, multi-bot, all while your PC is free.

currently running 3 VM on my system. minimal lag but when I boot up my main D3, all hell breaks loose. It was working flawlessly for a while when I was running 3 VM's and also playing on the main at 2560x1600 resolution. I'm not sure what I changed but it seems like settings in the nvidia control panel will have direct effect on the VMs as well.

Hi,

when i am running one D3 Instance in a VM (1920x1080) and one D3 Instance on my main System at the same time with the same size, i'll get some performance problems.
The active Window always wins, the other one gets struggle and is not playable anymore.
My System is an AMG 1055T 6Core 2,7 GHZ, 8GB Ram, GTX 470, D3(Main) on SSD, VM on 7200 rpm HD

I already tried to bound the VM / D3 Main Process to separate CPU Cores, but it results only in a little gain of performance.

There must be a Solution for it.. Any Ideas?

got freezes on vmware every 30sec for about 5sec
my system
955be 4x3.2ghz
gtx480
win7
devided even all cores and 4gb ram to vmware. still this freezes..
its freezing even if i dont play diablo3..
anybody an idea?

My issue with vmware is the scripts aren't recognizing the pics? it says cannot locate the resume button even with the correct paths set.. script works fine outside vmware, but inside no luck.

Guys - just found something else, whenever I'm at the computer, all my d3 copies in the vmware windows work fine no matter if the vmware windows are open or minimized, but if I leave for a few hours and come back, windows gets sluggish and I'm not sure if d3 has been running at that slow speed the whole time. Any ideas or things to check for?

Set this up yesterday, was running perfectly, now i'm experiencing the freezes inside vm workstation with or without diablo running. The only thing I tried changing when I loaded up vm workstation was assigning it more than the previous 2048mb of memory it had, changed it back, and it's still just constantly freezing for seconds at a time, then everything moves in fast forward to catch up.

Edit: Restarted everything (including physical PC) now it's runnin like a dream again. Thanks for the awesome guide LATM.

Serious question:
I wrote my own Sarkoth macro (not autoIT, and does not interact with the game client), a simple mouse and keyboard macro.
Its running perfectly for 2 weeks without ban.

I now want to use VMWare for running 2-3 identical Sarkoth macros.

So far I have used this macro for 1 account only.

NOW MY QUESTION:
I want to avoid getting banned at all cost.
There are 2 problems I see with my limited technical knowledge:

A) Blizzard detects 3 Diablo instances playing from the same IP
B) Blizzard detects 3 Diablo instances coming from the same MAC address (=physical router address)

Please, is there a guide on how inside VMWare I can hide/change my IP address?
And, is there a way I can hide/change inside VMWare my router's MAC address?

Blizz wont ban you by IP. It just can't. They don't do that. It's true.

When using VMware every virtual machine has its own virtual network interface with uniqe MAC. Futhermore MAC addresses are only visible in your LAN, not in WAN (just your router/server/modem MAC).

Just run 3 VMs and thats all. If you are cloning them, remember to change MAC settings otherwise there will be IP conflict in your LAN.

Edit: missunderstood. Dont worry about same MAC and IP - it's not used to mass ban people. Imagine big network in some town, when all routing goes through one server. All town will be banned when one account is boting? It dont work that way. better look out for trading gold beetwen accounts.

The Word of Magic is NAT!

During the Network Adress Translation (NAT) all your private IPs (192.168.xx.xx etc..) will be translated to one official IP Adress.
So, for ex., if your Father an you plays together D3 at the same time, they will use the SAME official IP to connect to the D3 Server.
And now you start to bot with your account, your dad still plays legit.
now you get banned using an injection bot for ex., then its hurt only your account and not the other Accounts that played over the same ip while you use a bot (daddy still safe ).

And a VM Instance is just an another Member in your Network. With ist own private IP, Nat Table, routing etc. Just as another PC.

Dont mess up with MAC changes (doh!) or anything else like this. Any VM has and must have a diffrent Mac Adress (cloning).

You wont get banned by playing D3 in VMs, only for what you do in within the D3 VMs

I can confirm that VM Workstation is faster and more stable instead of VMware Player.
Now i am able to run one vm with bot and play an another d3 on the main system.

I have noticed that the d3 client (inside vm) seems to get sluggish after about 1k runs. Only fix I have found is a quick restart of the d3client.

I have a really stressful issue , which if anyone could help i would be greatly thankful. I installed vmware workstation 8 , got it up and running , copied D3 , got MMOToaster bot for DH ( a modified version of Shimizoki's script ) and it works absolutely wonderful ( if i just stare at the VM and do nothing else ) . However , if i play Diablo 3 on my pc whilst running the script ... it completely ruins everyhing. I have no ideea why , but it doesn't follow the instructions anymore. The strings should be "Move , use smoke screen , use smoke screen , caltrops , check for cellar , and from there go in cellar or tp out" . The thing is , when i am also playing Diablo on my pc , the script is using smoke screen the second it resumes the game , and it stands there for 1 or 2 seconds , then starts moving, so obviously it doesnt move to the spot to check for the cellar , it only moves about half the distance to it , so nothing to check, and it all goes to hell. I was actually happy i got it working , saw it worked so i let it be , got playing on my other diablo account , then when i checked after about half an hour i had like 15 deaths and G/H in the negative. Sorry for the long post but it is really bugging me. Any ideeas ?

edit : i have a i5-2500k 4core , 8gb ram , gtx 570 . Vm is running on 2gb ram and on 2 cores.
