After this update of Diablo 3, patch 1.0.7 was formally live, which made many Monk players saw the hope again. What’s more, the changed most profession is Monk. Blizzard has begun to pay attention to the profession balance.


The real purpose of this update is PvP.
Active Skills:
Dashing Strike: weapon damage increased from 160% to 303%.
By using this skill, quickly dash at the opponent and strike for damage, making him upprepared and defenceless.


Lashing Tail Kick: your damage would increase from 235% to 470%.
The powerful sweep-kick skill can cause the fatal damage and beat the enemy. When the Barbarian is close to you, you can beat the Barbarian via this skill to protect yourself.


Sweeping Wind: per stack’s basic weapon damage increased from 15% to 20%.
Skill Runes-- Blade Storm: increasing the basic weapon damage per stack from 20% to 26%.
Skill Runes-- Cyclone: increasing the basic weapon damage per stack from 20% to 26%.
The change effects of this skill is not very obvious in PvP. But the Endless Tornado Build improved greatly in PvE.


Wave of Light increases the damage from 390% to 829%. Followed by additional weapon damage as holy to all enemies in a line increased from 45% to 96%.
Skill Runes-- Explosive Light: the weapon damage increased from 430% to 914%.
Skill Runes-- Pillar of the Ancients: deals 595% weapon damage followed by an additional 595% weapon damage after 2 seconds (previous was 280%).


The change of this skill can be regard as one of the biggest light spot. The damage increased maximumly, which made the Monk ‘s outbreak becomes more terrible. Compared to the later PvP Arena, Monk arms Two-handed Wave of Light Build would be the king!


The strongest melee assassin: relys on the instant movement skill to give the opponent an unprepared damage. After closed to the opponent, you can use the superstrong outbreak skills. What’s more, Monk has Blinding Flash and Invincibility these two control and anti-control skills, which made him more powerful. On skills collocation, Dashing Strike and Wave of Light will be used more widely. And Blizzard hope so as well. Because there were too many Barbarians, they have to rely on Monk to keep the balance.

WD seems to be very OP on the PVP but they still have to change a lot, I have heard that only in 3 new patches pvp will def come out, lol!
