I've seen many people asking for D3 gold as payment for account trading these days. As some of you may know, account trading is one of the easiest ways for buyer to get scammed by malicious seller. It is especially true when you are paying for In-game currency because you would have no remedy if the seller decide to recover his account. It`s fairly easy if the seller is the original owner. Once he provide proof of government ID, then you are pretty much done. It`s also possible even if the seller is not a original owner or does not have appropriate ID. Seller can still recover their accounts using CD key. Even if you get CD keys from seller, seller can probably request for recovery.
In my opinion, Paypal is the best way to buy/sell account because both buyer/seller will have remedy when the other party breach the contract. If the malicious seller decide to recover the account after receiving payment, he may be deterred by the fact that buyer has the ability to initiate a chargeback. Vice versa, if a malicious buyer plan to initiate the chargeback, he may also be deterred by the fact that seller has the ability to recover the account from Blizzard. Sometimes Paypal will deny your chargeback request, so it will be best for buyer to purchase the account through credit card rather than Paypal balance. Most credit card company will give you 90 days or more to file a claim. And if you are botting, which I assume most recent D3 accounts buyer are doing, 90 days is more than enough for you to recover your cost.
Before trading accounts, it is important to know who is your counter party. If you are dealing with a high rep seller, it is probably ok for you to pay with IGG. When one party is high rep, and the other party is low rep, it is not uncommon for the high rep party to ask for the most secure way for him. When both parties are low rep, I would recommend the aforementioned process as the default way to do business.
