You wouldn't be able to run diablo 3 on a server as you don't meet the minimum requirements for a GPU. Any technical person not botting in VMWARE your selling yourself short. I have 1 host machine running 4 instances of D3 botting of course so thats 5 total bots. Virtual machines are fkn amazing!!! your just need the proper amount of RAM and CPU cores to support each virtual machine.

Botting in VMWARE allows you to use your host machine without having to be fullscreen ingame for the script to function properly.

That server is in a 1U enclosure, are you sure your graphics card will fit? Unless it's a low profile designed for a 1U, it would have to be on a right angle adapter, and cooling it might be a problem.

There is no reason to go with a special 'server' instead of a 'desktop'. The differences are in the amount and type of memory the motherboard will support, and the number of CPUs. Your server specs say that it has dual quad core xeons at 2.5ghz, which effectively gives you 8 cores to run virtual machines on. According to SuperMicro's website, your board can support up to 32GB of RAM.

RAM will be the limiting factor for you for virtual machines. 8GB is not very much, so you would definitely need to max it out to make effective use of those 8 cores. Your motherboard takes ECC memory, which are about $250 to $300 per stick for 8GB modules, meaning 32GB would cost you $1000 to $1200. That, coupled with the fact that the memory and processors are not fast by today's standards, and you will have a very expensive mediocre machine.

An alternative might be to build a new machine. You can put together something like this:
    8 core AMD CPU @3.1ghz - $160
    motherboard - $90
    32GB DDR3-1600 - $180
    GPU - already owned
    PSU - $70
    Case - $50
    64gb SSD - $90
    DVD drive - $20

    Total cost - $660

And it will be faster than the server machine you're looking at.
