Barbarian Class Question on Weapon Swings

I am playing a barbarian class.

Question I have: If I set my left click to whirlwind and I left click while I am stationary without fury, what will happen? Does it do a normal weapon swing? And if I am dual wielding and I click twice, will the second click be a swing on the off hand?

The obvious answer would be: log in and find out.

I might be wrong, but I think you need to press [Shift] to make the odd left click ability go off. If you release [Shift], I suspect the client will just have you do a regular swing again. Let us know if you find out for sure. :confused:

Thanks for the reply, yes shift would be necessary for sure otherwise it would register as a move command and have the hero run to the point of click.

Reason why I'm saying because apparently starting a sprint with run like the wind rune will generate more DPS on the back of a fast offhand swing as compared to starting on the back of a slow mainland swing.

Btw, I am posting off site that's why I can't open up D3 and have a go at it myself and I thought some tornado barbs here would be interested to know - any chance at increasing DPS

Ok I've confirmed it, shift clicking will cause it to do a weapon swing
