I tried pressing their faults of "fair language" concerning vague policy. There is no official stance regarding what level of macroing is bannable and automation is poorly defined. I never ran 24/7 so the goal was trying to prove I was farming manually the entire time and macro'd a few commands because I figured it wasn't automation or botting. I was concerned about carpal tunnel syndrome and just wanted to play safely.

Denied! They don't give a shit about my health or precious hands! Was worth a try.

In all seriousness Blizzard left a huge hole concerning accurate definition of automation policy. An "all encompassing" policy works in their favor but they also denied several requests to provide policy clarification. The TOS portion stating that can "kill your account for anything" covers that hole, but doesn't cover fair business practice which I think they're obligated to follow no matter what policy they create. Aka Blizzard policy doesn't nullify legal obligations on state/federal levels.

Not that anyone would pursue legal recourse...

well ofc their golden goose is to keep their eula as vague as possible in regards to botting, it is just a less obvious way of writing "we will ban you whenever we please and you can't do squat about it, because we won't tell you why exactly we banned you, or what exactly is forbidden"

afaik all ban appeals go through this process

    step 1: receive ban appeal
step 2: keep it in mailbox for x hours
step 3: respond with boilerplate letter of denial

the way i see it the only real way to go about it is to simply call them up and see if there is any wiggle room, personally though, i won't bother, just figured i might save some people the hassle of typing up an appeal that nobody will ever read

It was all a lie and I ended up just saying something like "I'm going to therapy tomorrow anyway I'll talk to my psych" or something to that effect. It was quite hilarious but I think I may have got myself on some suicidal watch list somewhere, not good!
Sorry for bringing an old post back, but LOL
