Lol I used my roommate botted with same IP approach but I just got answer from blizzard that they wont reverse ban on my safe account. But they gave me back 2 IB bot accounts yesterday with 280 and 300 mil gold record haha. I think their logic on banning and unbanning accounts is totally retarded. I don't really care about my bot account since they are only holding around 320 GF gears and few gold. I will call blizzard, net worth of my safe account is too high to lose hahaha

good luck. i tried appealing on my clean, not-botting account, but they're not gonna unban me. maybe someone else will have better luck, but i think with the rmah they're taking bans very seriously, and probably won't unban under in circumstance. i think if the account has any connection with the botting accounts (gold trading etc) then yeah, you're pretty much screwed. i think i'm gonna buy 1 more account and just use the auction house legitimately, no more botting for me.

I still don't believe they ban for IP address. We know that Blizzard keeps a record of hardware ID so if you even once logged into account xyz on the same machine you use for botting they know to associate your "safe" account with the bot account. There's no need to actually play since we all know that Blizzard at least has records of account+hardware ID for security reasons.

So maybe in the last couple of months you logged into your bot account on the machine you use to play your main account and that was that. Even once would be enough.

I've only ever botted inside vmware with a fast proxy. Transfered hundreds of millions to gear up my main CE account and it never got banned even after my 4 bots did. When you guys transfer stuff on the same ip/hwid, you're just asking to get banned on your main.

Well I have my main friended on my 2 bot accounts and regularly trade gold/items to him. One account got banned ,nothing happened to main. So I think it is kinda random. Maybe it has soemthing to do with how heavily you bot? Like if you've made over 100 mill on a bot, they may consider banning your main if you traded the gold to it, because you made SO MUCH illegitimate gold.

Either way though, at this point Diablo 3 botting is really only worth it if you go hardcore. AH bots are getting shut down hard, only way to run those safely is to write your own, gold is selling for very cheap (you need numerous bots to make a decent profit) and more and more people are leaving the game, which makes things like playing the AH less and less profitable.

Yeah you'll lose 15% but I'd say the risks are minimal. Though that doesn't prevent you from having your IP banned. So you'd need to add some protection there, of course.

    OFF TOPIC:

Also not to be rude (for real) but why are you here in the first place? This is a site dedicated to exploiting, hacking, etc for games. Seems counter-productive if you think that people who use them should be banned.

Yeah if I get a banhammer to the face I won't complain about it because it's against the rules and I got caught. Frankly, Bliz really dropped the ball on D3 and I honestly feel like the only way to really get decent gear is by farming / buying gold or buying items from RMAH. I think a great majority of people (myself included) turned to this site and to botting because the game isn't working the way a lot of people (customers) wanted / expected it to work. And I certainly don't feel as if anyone who bots, exploits, etc "deserves" to get banned.

And the reason is due to the simple fact (opinion lol) that playing the game as Bliz expected you to play just cannot generate enough gold to be able to purchase items to regularly upgrade as you progress (talking about average players going in late hell to inferno, not people who play the game for hours on end) nor do you typically find items in significant quantities that you'd be able to sell for enough gold to continue to upgrade. And if you don't want to use the Auction House...well when was the last time you found enough gear from just playing the game to progress into Inferno?

If the D3 economy wasn't completely screwed up (and it's not just from gold farmers) then maybe you'd have a decent time trying to upgrade and purchase items though the AH, but the economy is crap and has been getting worse as time goes forward. I mean hell, I don't even get excited about finding legendary items, even though that doesn't happen often. Why? Because all I'm thinking about is can I sell that in the AH in to get more gold in order to buy a better whatever. I think we deserve a better game, one that actually gave you some incentive to keep playing and the positive feelings of having accomplished something for the amount of time you put into it. Once we get that, then sure banhammer away
My thoughts exactly. If things werent so offpriced right now, I would not resort to botting. I would be playing the game as ussual. My issue is that I cannot buy the gear I need to play the game efficiently and have a good time. I need to bot to be able to fund the gold I need to enjoy playing the game.

I hate dragging wow into things, but if this was WoW, I would not be botting, as the market there seemed to be fair when I played. (Even though I used to bot WoW).

I am just playing for a fun and a good time. I grew up a bit after playing and botting WoW all the time, and the only reason I play games now is to time sink and enjoy it. It is just not possible in the state that diablo is in.

Yes they don't do anything to paypal. You can use the same paypal for all your bot accounts and from what I've read they will never even care about that.

Hmm I guess my question remains then, anyone know if you can link paypal to seperate account after the previous was banned? Is there a way to unlink paypal from battle.net when you want to?

Now this is hypocrisy. Guess, where does this inflation come from?
