    Managing multiple accounts

Curious as to how most people manage multiple accounts as far as authenticators and sms protect are concerned.

My primary account is tied to an authenticator on my phone, along with sms protect tied to my phone. I currently only have one secondary account. I wanted to enable the RMAH to Paypal option, so I tied the sms protect to another cell phone I have access to. I tried a VOIP number, but they are not allowed. I'm debating whether to order a keychain authenticator, since I can't use my phone for more than one account.

I imagine the majority of people with multiple accounts are using them to bot, never keeping too much on them...then transfer the gold/items to a primary account with an authenticator attached. So for the bots, its mostly a non-issue.

Given that the mobile authenticator is limited to 1 account, and SMS protect is limited to 1 account per phone number, ramping up to multiple accounts with any sort of account security (and RMAH access) seems limited. How are most of you operating?

    Winauth.
It's an authenticator program you can download and attach to multiple accounts (you need one download per each account). That's how I do it at least.

I have 5 accounts. The one which is my original (with WoW and SC2 on it), has my keychain authenticator on it. The second account I got, I set up the mobile authenticator on it. When I got the third, fourth, and fifth, I just said "**** it", and went in bare back, with no authenticator. Accounts two through five though each have their own, newly created email, as well as separate passwords, so I feel pretty secure since it's just a ticking time bomb until they're banned anyway. At the end of each night, I transfer all the gold to one of the accounts with an authenticator, just in case.

Thanks for that tip. Going to look into that.

Thanks for the winauth link, looking into that now. Repped.

I mostly want to keep my primary account I use for general gaming and enjoyment coordinated off completely from any grey areas my other accounts may dabble in. Keeping separate emails, phone #s, etc. Any serious look would link them through IP addresses, but it doesn't seem like Blizzard is too keen on shutting down people willing to buy multiple accounts.

Thanks. Make sure when you download it, you name each of the folders, so you don't get them mixed up.

I funnel all items to my main clean account with RMAH that I will discontinue botting and only legit on it.

Then split the gold between the clean account (to buy items on GAH and resell on RMAH) and then to one bot account (to sell off of).
