IAS nerfs thoughts and questions

With the upcoming patch 1.0.3, there will be changes to attack speed. No one quite know how yet, however it has gotten me quite worried as a barbarian with a IAS weapon.

Everyone was obsessed with the IAS, and so it seemed like a must in my search for a great weapon. Obviously this made a lot of sense, with Life on Hit on the weapon as well, the faster it was the better. However, I am wondering now... how badly with attack speed be nerfed? High attack speed weapons have a low damage range because they swing faster. If that attack speed is nerfed, how bad will the weapon become?

I am trying to debate whether or not I should hold onto my weapon or sell it, as its a lot of gold in question (I paid 32mill for it). It has attack speed and is pretty amazing, but if IAS is nerfed too much I will regret keeping it. Id almost prefer a higher base damage weapon if IAS is nerfed too much.

Any thoughts on this?

It'll be a slight nerf. nothing major. I would sell your weapon tbh anyway because inferno is being nerfed pretty hard and items are being buffed.

But the nerf to iAS, Inferno, and buff to items being found and their quality is enough to make your money back now. Later that same bow will probably be 10 million or less, it's hard to say until the new patch hits which could be 2-3 weeks. Not sure.

Edit: I bought a bow for 7.5 million, realized that was a waste of money because I dont enjoy playing anymore as pew pew sold it for 12million with a star emerald in it. so about a 3 million profit

i've been trying to search for a new bow, but i've been avoiding all ias bows because of the incomming ias nerf. i really don't think they would nerf it that much, they'll probably nerf it enough just to make it not overpowered

Any link on items being buffed? Haven't seen that anywhere. You made me consider selling my loh 1hander.

ummm i'm pretty sure they are only buffing legendaries

I think IAS will be fine. All high end weapons will prob come down though, since Inferno will become much easier to farm.
