Just curious, just recently started selling gold. I know that PP are dickheads about charge backs for virtual items, so what % of your income do you "save" for charge backs?
Or rather what % of your income approx gets charged back?

Alot of information about rates etc.
I think you misunderstand, I'm talking about PP scammers. You sell them gold, they pay you...then do a charge back a few days later stating didn't recieve goods/unauthorized access.
This is mostly unavoidable, I'm just curious how much of my income I have to sacrifice to it.
Take screen-shots of the conversation and in-game between you and the buy or seller, you could even record it with Fraps while doing the transaction. keep the videos for a week or so, and once paypal charges back show them the screen-shots or the videos ... that's evidence , and you have every right to sue paypal if they don't accept it.
People tend to forget that the world is not chaos and you can do something about.

Paypal doesn't have to do anything about it. Their policies state they don't condone virtual sales and that they offer no seller protection for such things.
A fraps video or skype convo means absolutely nothing to them, I have no way to prove its the same person and they could care less. They don't want to pay people to try to figure this stuff out.
The only evidence paypal accepts is a UPS tracking number.
I heard about you can get the money via PP through a "gift"-option - so they can't get their money back ...
So if you are doing ingame trades and get enough trust by not scamming people yourself that would be a option![]()
you can still unauthorize gifts; but for me 0% chargebacks :3
Think before you post. You can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent.
my advice is dont sell in big amounts to new users, got scammed for 400$ by 2 people..
guys, what you can do it open 2nd pp, get money, transfer to 1st pp, thats it..
but im just selling to resellers much easier
huh so if he send you money on your second pp you can immidiatly resend it to your first pp acc ? so when he tries to chargeback there would be 0 money left so he wont get anything ??
You can try get them to send you an email from their email linked with their Paypal account saying that they are authorized to use that Paypal account. Or you can get them to add this note: "I am authorized to send payment and I am completely satisfied with the service I've received. Under no circumstance will I chargeback because I've already received the service.".
Paypal is a ****ing wank service that doesn't care about the sellers, since all you can do anyway is just HERPA DERP MY ACCOUNT GOT HACKED AND SOMEONE USED UP ALL MY MONEY with a different IP adress and they will just refund the money to the guy. Only lost 40€ out of $700 collected but still, I've traded with paypal before and in my opinion it's the worst dogcrap ever. Not to mention they harass you with a 20inch dildo if they think your account is suspicious, locking it down for a while. Happened to me a lot when I had much in and outgoing payments.
