    weapon question

So a weapon that have 1200dps
    with +40% damage
Do the +40% damage already calculated as part of the weapon and that why is the weapon is 1200dps?
Or when you equip it will calculated in the 40% damage, and if so is the 40% damage base on the damage of your character damage or the damage base on the 12000 dps weapon?

40% damage is already calculated into the weapon DPS.
And the 40% is on the weapon, not your character.

Everything is already calculated on the item.
So a 1200 weap with 50% dmg, is the same as 1200 weap with 25% attackspeed. Except that the attackspeed weapon have the small edge of more attacks per second (which also means you benifit more from rings and such with x-y extra damage)

So two weapons that deal 1250 dps, one weapon have a base speed attack of 1.0 attack per second, while the other 1 have 2.0 attack per second, They still deal the same damage?

    They have the same dps.
the one with the 2.0 will deal only half the damage but will attack twice as fast.

Afaik, the only thing that isn't calculated into the DPS that shows up on the weapon is Critical Hit Damage, however, it does make a difference in your actual Damage number in your character sheet.

So here's a more detailed, but very simplified, explanation:
    There's 2 1 handed weapons.
A has a damage of 500 and a base attackspeed of 2 attacks per second.
B has a damage of 1000 and a base attackspeed of 1 attack per second.

A deals 500 damage per blow while B deals 1000 damage per blow.
    In a period of 1 second, A deals 2 blows a 500, giving 1000 dps. Meanwhile B deals 1 blow a 1000 damage, also giving 1000 dps.

Hence, the weapons per say, are identical if the only factor considered is the damage output per second.

Things that doesnt count towards the dps (though if you have it in your inventory and mouse over it, it will show in stat changes), but would still up your dps, are mainstats (such as dex/int/str), crit damage (this scales more the more crit you have) and bleed effects.
This is not counting whatever stats legendary/set items can give.

Keep in mind that the actual numbers you see on the screen as damage, are usually far from your actual dps. This have to do with skills and modifiers and such. You dps is only showing what you could deal without any skills and passives (that doesnt change your actual stats, such as 15% more damage when noone is close to you).

    Hope this helps you understand.

Do note that another thing is the +### Main Stat. This increases your damage but isn't accurately shown on the white DPS numbers.
