Making some progress. I'm able to get some rat callers to not die to the firewalkers, maybe 1 out of 10. Still testing.

You have to find the right corner.. having a friend stand out a bit from you helps too. The one I'm in has no bones and is really sharp.

yea it's all about the corner pretty much, i got 10 rat callers with me, thats the max i could get so far

gotten 2 legs in about 30 mins so far

is it possible that barbs and crusaders got a higher hitbox so that the rat spawner doesnt come close enaugh for the boots instead of other clases ?

Not sure why anyone would do this on a class other then a Barb, as you can only get loot by using the Threatening Shout/Grim harvest rune skills.

Because i dont have a barb with gear to do this on torment?

Well, been messing around with this for several hours. Managed to get two on me that didnt die to firewalkers. But 2 isnt really worth it so I went to get more, came back to exact same spot and firewalkers killing them again. Not sure what is causing it to hit the same one sometimes and not other times. Really strange mechanics. WIll try again tomorrow when im not exhausted.
