Doubt it very much. During the AFK farming of A5 great weapon it was about 1 leg/hr with picking them up. Leaving it on overnight for 9 hrs ~9 legs without picking up.

super botter lol
Blizzard made a blue post earlier, saying that legendary not picked up on the floor during split farming resets the timer. They listed this as one of the risks as split farming, and said it was contributor to why some people felt like they never got loot - because they missed drops where other players farmed. You just had lucky RNG my friend.
So, do legendaries despawn after a certain time? anyone tested this here?
is called photoshop
Here is his profile: Teal - Community - Diablo III
He has 3 level 70 wizards with pretty good gear, his first wizard's follower's are pretty decked out too.
I don't know about the timer manipulation or what not but the dude definitely does something other than playing normally to acquire what he has.
so, what i noticed is that he has a level 61 character and a mat mule.
maybe he's opening rifts with his level 61 char, then farming mats/blood shards and gambling them with kadala.
you'll need at least a level 61 game to get forgotten souls (only > lvl 61 legendaries turn into forgotten souls) and if he's doing it, he would have apparently a lot of mats why he would need a mat mule.
did someone tested it if kadala's legendaries reset the timer or the timer has any influence on the item kadala gives you?
what if you buy an item from kadala after being 1-2 hours logged out or havent seen a legendary for 1-2 hours?
will the first item you buy from kadala be a legendary?
if so, what if you log out and try it again in 1-2 hours?
i'm definitly going to test it out, gathering a lot of blood shards then just buying 1-3 items from kadala in a level 70 T6 game per hour.
maybe its just stupid, but worth a try imo.

I feel like you are on the right track, many of his moonlight wards that he has equipped on his characters and his followers are level 60, 61, or 13. The same levels of his other characters. These would drop in the rifts that he's doing, and holding onto them for the sake of a fancy picture wouldn't allow others to see the actual level of the items.
Looking at the profiles again, some of the Firebird's set he's using is level 60, even though it is a new RoS set.
Let me know how your tests go, I've rolled 2 moonlight wards and both of them have been unusable, I really want to go arcane ;3

What I've noticed:
1) Once when I was afking at The Hive, I went back to town without picking anything up and everything disappeared when I got back. The gold and the items. Thankfully, it wasn't much, but I don't know how this happened, and it hasn't happened since.
2) Today when I was afking at another area, my map said I dropped three legendaries, but the beams didn't show. I have the type icons enabled so I can tell if the dropped items are rings/ammies/armor/etc, but I couldn't see those either. I could see them for every item except the legendaries. I had to randomly click in the area and hope that I could pick them up- which I ended up being able to.

ad. 1) never happened to me. the loot was always on the ground after teleporting back to the hive.
ad. 2) the game displays finite number of items and your legendaries were dropped after you reached the limit. therefore they were displayed only on minimap as stars.
I generally have the same thing happen after extended periods of time of AFK (say 6-8 hours). Going back to town and coming back fixes that, or at least it does for me. I've also had the same thing happen to me that you mentioned in (1) but it was only the crafting mats/gold that was gone, not items. Although, I think my situation may have been from finishing the event.
i havent tested this until now, since i havent had the time to do so, but after thinking about how to exploit kadala i came to the conclusion that he's maybe a member of the "rift it forward" community, so he'll get a lot of bloodshards for gambling and obviously a lot of legendaries from kadala.
but i'll still try to find out if the legendary timer has any effect on the items kadala gives you.
I wait 24h hours and i bought 30 weapon to this bitch. Nothing.
