1-4 chests/breakables/corpses per 5-10 second runs

Been running this for 30 runs now, only picking up blues, rares, legends, gems, and crafting mats. Salvaged the blues and rares and heres the results:

First 15 runs: 105 Arcane Dust. 9 Veiled Crystals. 10 Reuseable Parts. 2 Marquise Emerald. 1 Imperial Topaz. 1 Marquise Ruby. 1 Marquise Amethyst. ~400K gold
Last 15 runs: 201 Arcane dust. 15 Veiled Crystals. 9 Reusable Parts. 2 Marquise Ruby. 2 Marquise Amethyst. 1 Marquise Diamond. 1 Marquise Emerald. 1 Adventurer's Journal. ~450K gold

Total: Crafting mats: 306 Arcane Dust. 24 Veiled Crystals. 19 Reusable Parts. 1 Adventurer's Journal.
Gems: 3 Marquise Emerald. 3 Marquise Ruby. 3 Marquise Amethyst. 1 Marquise Emerald. 1 Imperial Topaz.
Gold: ~850K
Legendaries: 0 (if not counting crafting mat legend)

I'm not entierly convinced this is a good farming spot. Maybe for HC cause of the low risk-high reward, but other than that it seems shitty as ****...

not fixed. just did like 30 runs got a leg, but then again RNG... could take you 2 runs or maybe 100 runs lol..... Oh joy!

Did 50 runs t6 with max mf:
run 3 1x crap leg
run 13 1x crap leg
afterwards nothing till run 50

imo not worth the effort

I love how this route/area has been mentioned already (Link: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/diab...ml#post3005497 (Fast weapon/armor rack farm + breakables etc NO MOBS)) over the past week (usually in other farming threads) but people are only just now running it. I've had runs where it's a legs every half hour ~(20 runs), and I've had runs where it's a leg every 2-3 hours. It's just not profitable enough in my opinion. Got the same amount of legs just running bounties (and got xp too!).


If I have nothing else to do, I might try farming this area again, but it's already run it's course and is "public" knowledge... Oh wait, nerf'd. :P

Patch 2.0.3 Hotfixes
The number of chests that spawn in the following zones has been reduced:*
Core of Arreat
Briarthorn Cemetary
Battlefields of Eternity
Crag of Eternity
Demonic Vessels were using the incorrect loot table, and now give less generous loot.*

battlefields of Eternity is the name of the quest, this spot is not in the zone called "battlefields of eternity", that's why it still works and OP posted after the hotfix

10 runs on T6 and get 4 legs, everything from chests, probably big luck, but I will definitely continue

I think you and maybe only a select other few understand the concept of something being 'nerfed'.

Before anyone else posts a comment with the word 'nerf' in it please read below:

a) the hotfix was only to reduce the number of chests in those areas specified in the patch notes
b) demonic vessels now practically drop nothing, which has nothing to do with this run
c) this thread was started after the hotfix, meaning after the so called "nerf", there is STILL 1-4 chests per run

Yes, it is boring as hell doing chest runs, but yes you can still get legendaries doing it. It's all RNG. If you're not getting drops you just have bad luck, plain and simple. For those comparing the legendary items themselves, consider most of the leg drops, whether it be from rifts, bounties or otherwise are almost always shithouse anyway.

If it's to the point of getting streamed now, I'd say they will implement another hotfix for this area, in which it will actually be nerfed to the point of where no chests appear at all (or maybe 1... which would be a waste of time running)
