I think it does work but it is hard to get through the 20 secs of damage you have to take which is why WD have an easier time exploiting it. I kept trying to get it to work and finally got it to with my Barb but it took me a while, you just need to make sure you get the right positioning as well as get through the first 20 secs of gas damage

Any info on what's exact position? And is this also dependent on Ghom's position?

still works, as to your questions as soon as the cutscene ends I click in front of that left pillar and do not move the entire fight.

tried this with my wd too. still works. can confirm this.
also, this works ONLY for wd.

the key is Spirit Walk.

1. pull ghom in any corner
-> you dont have to stand in any explicit corner or position.
2. kill the adds.
3. use spirit walk.
4. after spirit walk, you wont get gas dmg anymore.
-> as you can see in the video, he wont get any dmg anymore, after using spiritwalk.
5. kill him after 20minutes
6. profit
