i like the drawing of how free market works. there is no stopping the gold price drop.. not possible.
Take an economy class it will help.
How does it work? (Learn more about CoreCoins here)

More and more people are quitting the game. Botters that make 100+ million a day are going to have quite a surplus selling at "market price". I'd imagine that once the gold Rmah does come out prices will rise closer to 2 dollars again, but you'll always have under cutters (me included).
Some one said the minimum was 1.75$? I thought it was gonna be 2.50$ (25 cent minimum for 100k). I certainly hope 1.75$ is wrong ;(
Out of curiosity, how much does it cost everyone to run their botting rigs?
I don't know exact numbers, but mine costs about $0.90 per day with power costs in my area, which isn't bad, not a hard amount to cover (about 700k gold right now). The occasional cd key is a sunk cost, but an expected one, and I like to have enough to cover 2-3 keys at any time (i'd average out that I get one every other week to maintain this rate). Say an average price for a key is $60 (for a US copy), and the going rate of gold is $1.3/mil, 3.2 million gold I bot every day is going to this fund
So, before I'm what I consider to be profitable for a day, I'm looking at about 4mil gold going to cover costs before I'm making a profit. This is all back-of-the-napkin math, and actual numbers may differ, but this is pretty close to what I've been experiencing. This does not cover hardware costs (which aren't often but are part of the bigger picture) or in-game gear purchases for new bots either.
If I have to, I'll drop backlogging keys, but that leaves me exposed to a lot of risk due to bans, which I don't like. I'll just pray for a gold sink of value to come along sooner or later.
what mean rmah ? thanks in advance =)
PVP , watch the gold market fly high.
I not gonna sell until the prices go up. Better keep gold on a safe account.
Lets start union, bring the price back up $2.0/1m
/sign if you guys are serious
I refuse to drop my prices below my current, this is getting absolutely stupid with the script kiddies and "foreign" farmers raping the market profusely. Its exactly it in post 1, was going to post this myself but cbf at the time. When will kids learn...
and I'll sell for 1 cent cheaper than his current price
(and then the prices continue to drop)

I absolutely refuse to sell under 1.9 / mil at this point and I just sold 30+ mil at that price. I advise everyone does the same to combat this. Selling under RMAH prices for gold when it's released are just ****ing idiotic.
Yea I was just stating the flaw with the system that works off hoarding gold waiting for a magical price to happen.
this is the same logic i smack my head about when I see people try to do those "don't buy gas on friday x day of x month" protests.
You can tell whomever comes up with those protests lives day by day and doesn't understand the concept of quarterly revenue targets. Who cares if you buy gas on thursday or Saturday instead? The corporations don't. Gas prices will still keep going up just like gold prices will still keep going down. Supply and demand.
No one is playing Diablo anymore other than the botters. lol. That's the real issue.
Any legit people I know have stopped playing because their life savings, within the game, are at about 10 million. A decent bow is 100+ million and climbing faster than they save. TKO *clicks log off*.
*edit. I should note that the friends I have that play aren't hard core gamers. They are social gamers. We play a few hours here and there a few times a week at most. The extreme gamers who have been doing a binge session since release date might be doing ok.

I do agree the market is flooded with a lot of gold, but just remember auctions take a slice...that slowly builds as people increase the items for sale in the Gold AH...this can't be said for the RMAH.
I wouldn't be so sure that the opening of the RMAH gold sales will change anything. It does have a minimum floor, which is currently above market prices, but I still don't see that changing much for two reasons:
1) That floor is subject to change at Blizzards discretion. If Blizzard sees outside sales circumventing the RMAH they will lower the floor to remain competitive and keep their 'slice of the pie.'
2) If the floor does remain where it is currently, the channel-spammers will continue to sell at sub-RMAH prices for faster sales, and to avoid the Blizzard commission. The prices at sites like this one will continue to be slightly lower than the channel spamming websites.
Currently equipping a character with decent high-end gear can cost well over $50-$100 per piece of equipment. I'm not so sure that there is enough willing buyers to sustain an environment where it costs $500-$1000 to have end-game equipment. I expect prices to continue to fall. The RMAH has been open for less than a month, and prices are still wildly fluctuating. I expect we are still a ways off from stabilizing.
