anyone on AMD x8 8120 or 8150 cpu? how many bot can u run max on this pc? thanks
anyone on AMD x8 8120 or 8150 cpu? how many bot can u run max on this pc? thanks
or amd A8 3870k better?
AMD FX 8150 with Demonbuddy can do 15+ and more if you overclock it.
how many demonbuddy are u at now? on fx 8150 at what speed, roughly the cpu % usage
thanks
A A8 3870k wouldn't be very good at all.
Pure botting you can grab a FX 8150, don't bother to overclock, and get like 10-15 bots on there easily. Partner it with a good cooler and a little more.
Don't get anything less than a 8150 because the whole Bulldozer line sucks. Only reason why the 8150 is good for botters is the 8 cores, a £50 Intel pentium can run better in almost all games (especially wow) than a 8150 in terms of FPS.
i just realise FX8150 is actually quite near the price of i7 2600k, so it just have to perform like that haha
i wonder which motherboard is best to go with FX8150 if going for some overclock, to runing 15 bots thanks
which value for money video card for running 15 bots?
so its better off getting maybe a i5 2500k instead, since the price difference is not much ya
No I5 out benchmarks the 8150 in multithread benchmarks and that is what he is asking about. I7s on the other hand do better but at a higher price Intel Mbs are always more expensive and so are the CPUs. You can build an AMD machine that can bot 15+ for 600-700$. At the low price of gold now the cheapest you can go while still getting the performance you want is your best bet.
First of all, Intel motherboards are actually cheaper than AMD. If you want higher end features, then it becomes rather even. Around the £100 price is when AMD motherboards introduce more extras over Intel.
A i5 could most likely run the same amount of bots as a FX 8150 anyway. Why? Glad you asked.
A Bulldozer has low IPC (instructions per clock) and a Intel i5 has far more. Therefore as you multitask a i5 can do far more calculations quickly and reduce the overall load on the CPU whereas the Bulldozer has plenty of cores to spread the workload on even though it has dreadfully low IPC. You could probably squeeze one or two more on a FX 8150 than a i5 3570K.
The FX 8150 is not even 8 cores. It's 4 real cores and 4 module cores. If it was 8 cores the heat and power usage would go through the roof. It's a bit like Intels Hyperthreading on i3 and i7 models. You can find graphs about this all over the internet. Games are not optomised for this so it once again reduces the amount of strain you can put on a Bulldozer.
Sadly, I find it hard to explain so if you want a better explanation of it all it's best to look at some websites about it![]()

anyone really has a FX8150 and running more than 15 bots? just trying to find out if the theory is true haha
