TurboHUD and automation

So, title says all. This is a huge topic. HUGE. We need to consider every aspect of it.

I'm looking for some life-enhancements while farming. TurboHUD was the first and most important step, but some basic D3 mechanics are so annoying, I barely can live with them on a daily basis.

Let's make it clear first:
I don't want to make a bot. I will not make a bot. Never, ever again.
I really don't need that big black scary car - filled with Blizzard's lawyers - in front of my house (really. literally or figuratively).

The Idea:

• 1-click Identify All
• 1-click Sell All (with the exception of health potions)
• 1-click Craft All Gems
• 1-click skill setup (preconfigured in HUD's config)

The Method:

• no memory write
• no inject
• only mouse and keyboard event simulation through Windows APIs

The Questions, Round #1:

1. possible risk of any kind of legal harrasment from Blizzard. I'll not go to a court in France or whatever because they are mad...
2. possible risk of cease and desist letters? How they do them?
3. will you continue using TurboHUD when it contains some level of automation?
4. would you start using TurboHUD when it contains some level of automation? Or this is the reason you will start using it?

I think your little program is just awesome the way it is, adding those options you mention above will make it too easy, almost like having a bot doing everything for you.

I was just about getting bored of Diablo3 until I found your tool, it makes the game interesting, and so fun to play again. It was like I just started playing D3 for the first time. Thank you.

As for the legal issues, that I know nothing about.

hm as an optional feature it would be very awesome^^ i dont need all of the automatations but i would test some of them and may use them once in a while

I love TurboHUD just the way it is. I feel that if automations, even as simple as this, are added, it will prompt Blizzard to be more aggressive towards these memory read only programs. The added risk is just too much, especially when identifying items, etc., really isn't all that bad.

What do you mean optional? I don't want to do "AUTOMATIC automation" You should activate it (for ex: IdentifyAll) with a hotkey...

An option doesnt exust for me. Not currently using it, thinking about using it, wouldn't use it if automation was implemented.

Make a complete seperate program for Automation. leave hud as is, make a program to automate as a seperate entity.

well, i didnt mean the project in the thread, i meant just the one post i linked. its about warden and win-api stuff^^ as i said, im not sure if its thematically right^^

I'd probably stop using it if automation was added, addings things like that could easily piss off blizzard and force them to go aggresive upon the users.

It would be more risky than I'm comfortable with.

Nice ideas! Blizzard should add those feature though... well maybe not the sell all button (because dump people will use it and than complain)
but the rest is very useful... Well for me i would use the gem creation and maybe the skill change (if it has random timers and positions where it clicks between the clicks and you can configure the range - 200-400 ms for one click)

I'm glad I asked you guys. I have concerns about automation too
But I'm sure that I'll not maintain and compile a second tool just to make IdentifyAll and some others, so it seems this idea is dead even before it was borned :|
